Stormy Weekend - Thursday - Sunday

Hello Patrons,

I hope you guys got a little quiet time before the chaos. I cant believe it's already here again. What crazy wonders are we going to see in the weeks to come?

Tomorrow is interesting... My initial forecasts were elevated hailers in Nebraska and Iowa. Now that I've missed my window of opportunity I might regret being a slacker. The SPC is currently giving tomorrow a 2% (I suspect an upgrade to 5), but look at this NAM forecast south of Lincoln Nebraska...

For those of you that cant see the blonde, redhead and the brunette in the coding above, they are smokin' hot! First one to comment the movie I just referenced wins.

If the storms get undercut like the SPC mentioned, then I will have saved a 15 hour drive north + 4 hours of chasing + a quick 10 hour drive back to the TX dryline for Friday. For those of you attempting to hit both days, be extra careful.

More soon. Good luck drivers!

Was watching Daniel Shaw on his UT channel. There were some really weird looking cloud formations throughout the storms. Looks like he did capture some of the tornadoes in both NE and IA!

Right?? Worst case scenario. It looks like it was a good size tornado too accompanied by huge hail. Fortunately, doesn't sound like it caused much damage, although Tabor, IA did lose power. Fremont, NE however had baseball size hail earlier in the evening with lots of damage. Blair, NE also reported baseball size hail although I haven't heard damage reports. There was a tornado north of Omaha, NE that caused some damage. Omaha, NE was missed by both tornado-producing storms. Where I live in west Omaha, we got a really nice (and much needed) downpour of rain, no hail and no wind!!

Good Lord I just got an alert on my phone about an extremely dangerous nocturnal tornado heading towards Essex Iowa right now.. wow those ones that come out of the blue are the truly scary ones
