2024-09-28 21:58:53 +0000 UTCI loved watching the Game Knights episode you did, the build up was definitely worth it! Ify killing your Vigor was shocking. tbh I was screaming at my screen for you to attack with literally anything else so when he blocked it would've become +1/+1 counters but oh well. I also definitely need vigor for my jared, true heir deck so I'm jealous lol.

2024-09-28 09:55:33 +0000 UTCLove listening to y’all and the guests talk about magic 😭🙌🏻 I’ve been slowly getting back into it over the last few years after basically giving up all hope of ever playing again around 2015. I’m also trying to build out some self contained head to head decks! Got a magic game night box a number of years ago and it’s the perfect way to get my casual friends to play with me. Trying to cook up some Bloodborne inspired stuff based on the Innistrad block (which was the block/set that came out when I started playing).

2024-09-25 03:39:10 +0000 UTCLove the show! Keep it coming. I also enjoy putting magic decks together to make a pre packaged board game experience. I highly recommend you check out this quick video on a format called battle box. Exciting 2 player games using a shared deck full of commons and uncommon with a focus on interaction and attacking. Lands in the command zone which makes it more like Hearthstone. Has been a big hit every time I bring it out. https://youtu.be/_3K75KYFoAk?feature=shared

2024-09-20 23:48:53 +0000 UTCYeah, playing a pre-con against meta decks isn't fun. Common courtesy is to be upfront with your deck's power level. If they saw a first timer with a pre-con and decided to still play their competitive decks, it's kinda bad manners. But unfortunately some people just want to stomp, makes it not very fun or welcoming.

2024-09-20 23:45:58 +0000 UTCI just played my first casual commander game at a store, I was using the Tegwyll Faerie precon. it was me and three other people, it felt like two of them were playing an entirely different game because they had what I would consider, league worthy decks. I think what made me realize how strong of a deck they were running was when I saw Sol Ring because I see a lot online that Sol Ring is the current meta. I would love your guys' take on what defines casual commander, and how to deal with people who bring really really strong decks to a casual commander game. :)
