Even though it's really tough to not anxiety-spiral out over guilt, I think the tendency to reflect does show that you have integrity and want to be fair, even when the other side of the argument is someone as delusional and manipulative as that guy. I feel like I would have a hard time breaking out of that anxiety spiral if I were widely known and my disagreements with people had an (often unkind) Internet audience, so I am curious how you navigate that guilt and push past the unhealthy portion of that self-analysis in general?

I appreciated the comment from Anastasia that there IS a process of how to handle certain topics even on GOLD videos and that care DOES show up when you see things blurred out (for the reasons Jarvis specified) - those are ethical concerns that journalists DO have to abide by but everyone should and so many content creators do not have anyone gut-checking them even on "entertainment". (Speaking from my perspective as someone who has been a streamer but also has done hard reporting)

When you add the fact that this Keiser guy is lying in every way that he can, he has a lot of effin nerve coming at Jarvis with the "integrity" BS. The delusion is truly mindblowing.

2024-07-14 06:03:03 +0000 UTCAs someone who used to be a full-time dancer (I am mostly out of the business nowadays, but many of my friends are still in the industry) the thought of someone doxxing a group of *mostly* women who are already in a dangerous line of work is beyond scumbag behavior. also like sir you watched a TikTok video of a woman claiming she made 33k and had some money in a sock drawer. There is no proof that she isn't paying her taxes, or quite frankly that she actually made that amount of money. like I know a few girls who skew their numbers online to romanticize this industry, which quite frankly is a pet peeve of mine because while I loved the opportunities dancing afforded me, it is a grueling job. It's not just looking pretty and partying. It's taxing on your body as you are working long hours, late at night, and exercising for a good portion of those hours. Like dancing isn't easy, it leaves even the most experienced dancers covered in bruises (cause surprise surprise your body is not a fan of being held up by just your skin sticking to a metal pole), icing their knees when they get home so they don't swell to the size of a baseball, and taking baths that are 90% Epsom salt so their muscles allow them to get out of bed the next day. And that's not even talking about the emotional/social drainage that happens from being constantly harassed by customers who think just because you take off some clothing that they have the right to touch you. Like this job is a good way to make money if you can handle it (I've seen so many girls get chewed up and spit out by the industry) but it's quite frankly an extremely difficult and dangerous job. So that fact that this guy is bragging that he's earning money off of turning these women into the IRS is fucking abhorrent. Which it could be fake, with every fiber of my being I hope it's fake, but he's claiming he gets a percentage of those women's hard-earned money by being a doxxing snitch. and just the idea of some tech-bro creep manipulating the government systems to MAKE MONEY from women who are dancers is fucking sickening. I do feel the need to say sorry about writing an entire novel but I am very passionate about the safety of dancers and all sex workers as I was one of them and so are the people I care about.

The two new variants that have been spreading like wildfire are entirely resistant to the previous vaccines so extra caution with masking is your best defense. Again, so happy you guys recovered fully but it would be amazing if more large "internet people" were talking about consistently wearing masks because that would definitely influence more people to do that :)))
