2023-08-16 17:03:52 +0000 UTClove the pod 💕 btw re: the sleep study/health care discussion in the main ep, my brother has had similar symptoms to what you describe Jarvis (fatigue, lack of good breath coming in from nose, trouble sleeping / specifically breathing while sleeping) and he had swollen/enlarged turbinates & adenoids! he went to a sleep study and that ultimately kicked off the search leading to the diagnosis & surgical removal, which totally changed his breathing ability and sleep, but he had a bad case so it doesnt have to be treated surgically. it was maybe 1.5 years post the sleep study that he actually got the diagnosis and treatment tho because of everything in US healthcare yall talked about 💀 so i wanted to comment his issue on the off chance its the same thing, and bringing it up to a doctor saves you some time!

2023-08-09 19:21:59 +0000 UTCsame, I had terrible TMJ issues (sliding, clicking, grinding teeth) and after getting diagnosed with sleep apnea and using my machine regularly, my TMJ issues have mostly disappeared. I went from excruciating pain every morning and not being able to close or open my mouth to forgetting I had TMJ issues. The only times it has come back has been when I was traveling without my machine (bc I forgot it accidentally) or extreme life stress (and also the one time my friend accidentally punched me in the jaw).
