I interpret it as awareness combined with the mirror-like nature of reality. When in deep alignment with the Supreme Self, any source of disturbance naturally gazes into what its own true nature is, which is entropy. In a way, it is not Lord Shiva himself that burns things to ash, but things do so of their own accord when they realize what they're actually interfering with when they try to draw his attention away from his object of focus (again, think more along the lines of concepts and symbolism - identification is closer to maya than to truth, even though both aspects manifest in reality all the same). Ash is of course representative of the purified "essence" of something, devoid of all shades of Self. So when it is said that Shiva rubbed the ashes of Kamadev all over himself, my interpretation is that it was a symbolic representation of passion and desire being stripped of all shades of externalization, redirecting their "energy" towards deeper realization. We cannot really destroy anything - destruction is the surface-level manifestation of the process of transformation when viewed from a broader and more neutral perspective. So, this field is one to use for profound transformations and increased awareness ๐ฅโก
