You can sense when you cut cords the heaviness leaving your body and sometimes even a physical pain in the heart. The cords seem to be stored there. When you clear psychic links, you feel it in your entire consciousness, subconscious, being, aura, etc.

I feel that if you suffer from black magic or continuous interfence/attacks/directed bad luck and so forth this is a must because psychic links (which are somewhat different than etheric and psychic cords) are one of the main ways foreign agents can exert influence on your auric field and by extent, your life. Kinda like a quantum tunnel. E.g. a "witness" on a radionic machine is used to create a psychic link to the person being treated. Black magic or vodoo uses other ways to create the same effect.
