2024-05-02 22:00:12 +0000 UTCOne of my problems with the original series is that Brock and Misty kinda feel empty bc they are only there to be Ash's company and don't have any goals, which makes episodes focused on them pretty forgetable. Imagine if this kid became a rival for some competition storyline with Misty, that would make us invested in her character more. Anyway, thankfully the next two sagas fix that problem making the other main characters (especially the female ones) have their proper goals and storylines.
