So I've been wanting to do these red x grayscale animations since I did that one grayscale Rick drawing with like red highlight years ago, and since I'm slowly brainstorming book design ideas, and it's like 99% sure that illustrations are likely going to be either grascale or grayscale with red, I thought fuuck it, let's try! And i kinda love it!
It's odly tough working with grayscale and a single accent color when it comes to animation ngl! My whole life outside of the internet really exists only in these colors but I never really noticed how tough it can be to make finishing touches for animations when there is no color to blend in! Idk why that caught me so off guard, but it was definitely a suer interesting experience haha

Wow, wow, wow, the chills of the one in the bathroom, and then the one we can see a silhouette on his eye from someone, ufff, I see trauma over there. I feel I am seeing an illustration book over here. Super refreshing to see this different type of coloring. My eyes are grateful for the grayscale. Thank you for sharing this, dear friend !! 😭 Feels like photos taken with those old cameras where the person needed to cover themselves with a blank and then take the picture combined with the first cameras that were able to capture color.

They were soo fun to paint, I'm soo glad it looks good!!

I think his genuine smiling one is super super sweet, and of course with the weans, ahhhhh my heart. Then the striking red on the first two slides omg. Just badass!! The lighting is just phenomenal!
