I've officially finished draft 2 of the book 2!!! It's still a bit rough since none of this is perfectly polished yet, nor professionally edited (it will be before publishing of course), but I wanted to share some small previews and scenes I kinda like <3
Sorry for a bit of a slower upload rate this week also, I've gotten waay too hyperfocused on writing to do much visual art, but I'm getting back to drawing now that drafting of the book 3 finally began!

He was working for the police for a while there, that was actually how he got into crime past his underground associations (his police bosses crossed him one too many times) And ye for sure, there will definitely be a long list of trigger topics since the books do deal with a lot of heavy things. These are definitely books for mature audiences so blood, murder, profanity, mental distress, etc, are just a part of it at times (there is actually already a little trigger warning on the front page of the website with some of the triggering topics ♡) I usually censor the profanity for the sake of instagram and other platforms ahha they like to put me in algorithm jail when I don't, but the books and this patreon content is usually gonna be uncensored (with a warning if stuff is a bit heavy ofc)

And YESS they are young-ish here! 🥹 this was before Jake even became a part of the Kostrov family fully, so they were all in their late thirties-early forties here haha ❤️ LMAO YEP the profanity is very much not a rarity, and the books have a certain amount of pretty grousome scenes so there will definitely be a few trigger warnings at the begining of each to let people know just in case EXACTLYY like Rick may be big but boy you don't rule these streets sorry 😭🤚 Justus definitely had many years of proper crime leading under his belt, he's not gonna be bothered by Rick's anger issues 😩 And actually no, so! Captain or Cap is how people in Dolour (and just people related to Rick's crime life) call Rick because he was the Captain of the police force at the time when he first started going on his vigilante ventures (he later became a deputy chief, but by then everyone already knew him as Captain Kostrov). He's technically not a captain of anything at this point in the story since he also got kicked out of police, but people just kept calling them that, mostly because Kostrov was difficult to pronounce HAHA and also because Rick rarely stated his name, to protect his kids Justus is the boss. He's actually the proper boss to the gangs around New Rosea and is in charge. Though, technically, he's not in charge of Rick haha. Rick is just a business friend he calls up when he needs his expertees but Rick has every right to not take part if he doesn't feel like it. They have this weird frenemies thing going on throughout most of the series haha so when Rick calls Justis "boss", he mostly does it sarcastically :,D he calls him Harris usually, the people Justus is the boss to call him boss

They both sounds so pissed off. Ooooh, woooow, lots of profanity language. I am here for it all 🔥💪🏻. Okay, cool, I know one of this cars was created by Harry / Justus. Amazing, amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Just because you are taller Rick doesn't mean you have the upper hand with the big mouth, here. Be careful 'cause that Justus guy knows how to maneuver himself in this tough situations. "Cap?" As in "captain of the team?" But then he says "boss?" - I am intrigued

HAHAH real, same, tbh I would not want to be anywhere near rick when he's anywhere but inside of his house, he's too much of a risk anywhere else 😭 RIGHT like boy, you literally have a cane and a mafia after you, pls go hug your feisty husband and idk do anything but this haha haha But yeah, i kinda don't blame him either. He's got a point to be paranoid in that specific scene, plus its a pretty stressful situation to begin with, so at least to a part, i get it 😩 AHH AND THANK YOU fr, thanks for all the patience!! Haha though, I would have not wanted to be around them in this scene potentially but still!! I love it so so much. And the drawing panels!! Omg ughhh my heart. Yeah Rick! Please, my guy. You got enough in your plate! No need to be rude to Justus, too! But honestly, I don’t blame him. He’s got some complex emotions going through his stressed system like all the time and doesn’t have any breaks! 😭😭😭😭 Also don’t apologize at all! You are just fine! Love your beautiful work! Love your writing soooooooo much!!!! Everything about this is just so awesome and full of emotion that I just LOVE. 😭😭❤️❤️❤️ even if it hurtsssss!
