2025-05-13 06:52:45 +0000 UTCHarry’s trouble with the dark arts is interesting. I can only really see it ending in a couple of ways. With Tom trying to re-absorb his Horcruxes, I doubt he will attempt to make more of them, so perhaps he and Harry will look for another route to immortality. Or, this could all be leading to Harry’s own descent into darkness and act as a way to see how he changes over the coming chapters. Harry may also act as a way to temper the worst aspects of Tom potentially as their relationship grows.

2025-05-11 03:42:54 +0000 UTCI find it odd and interesting how Harry was so willing to enter this pact with Tom....to have delved into blood rituals and even killed and tortured and started down an apparent dark path himself yet the dark arts still bother Harry quite a bit especially ones he read in that book as well. It seems as if Harry's commitment is wavering somewhat if he is having such second thoughts and if it is all bothering him so much. Somehow I feel this is all gonna come to a head at some point. Harry very clearly despite his conviction is not so willing to go as far as Tom did or has even despite Harry having mentally thought that there was no going back for him now and him supposedly accepting it. I mean I personally don't see Harry going along with Tom and his plans forever...something's gotta give and given how horrified Harry is with this all it's either meant as a warning by Tom to not make the same mistakes he made or it's Tom's subtle hint at him wanting Harry to cross that line as he had and go that same path. I just don't see Harry being bound to Tom's side forever and perhaps finding a way out at some point because despite what he might say I don't see him as going completely down the same path Tom did and going completely dark, he still has too much of his humanity left in him.
