Ugh, I hate Dumbledore so much, I love a story that treats Dumbledore like the piece of shit of truly is.

He let not one, but two Dark Lords not only develop, but rise first Gellert and then again with Tom. IN both cases he failed to act in any meaningful way til it was too late....How many lives were lost...how much death and destruction was caused by Gellert before the old bastard finally got off his lazy ass and did something about it? Same goes for Tom and even then it did not end up being him who struck the blow to stop Tom for the time being.

A small time skip after the tournament wouldn't be remiss imo just so we could finally get to some really powerful Harry not just 14 yo schoolyard games

2025-05-07 23:12:50 +0000 UTCHonestly the relationship between Barty and Harry is fascinating to me. The fact that Harry had to reign Barty in, while also keeping both of them in character is a delicate balance. Dumbledore is somewhat intriguing for me in this story. I will say the part with the cloak I found somewhat hard to understand, as I cannot really see any way for that interaction to go well for Dumbledore. Harry already doesn't trust him and feels betrayed, so taking his only memento of his Father and his lineage from him would certainly push him as far away as possible. Just felt like Dumbledore panicked, even if Harry gave him the cloak that would seal a hostile relationship forever. The cloak would essentially be a hostage for dumbledore to dangle whenever he wants harry to do anything. Or Harry calls his bluff and Dumbledore either has to actually expel him or just back down which is what happened. no way for the headmaster to really win unless he values the hollow more than he does Harry, which is possible I suppose.

2025-05-07 21:24:53 +0000 UTCI mean I have always hated the old man for raising Harry as a pig for slaughter in canon...condemning him to 12 years of Hell with magic hating relatives who treated him like a slave and abused him...in my opinion there is not enough torture or pain or suffering the old man could go through to even begin to make up for the Hell he out Harry through....I only regret that he did not die slower or more painfully in Canon and that Harry was foolish enough and blind enough to still believe in and trust the old bastard...
