Sure Harry took on three upper years....but they still lived and breathed and could actually still speak....which means the message wasn't given clear enough. You make an example of assholes like that by breaking them, then everyone really know to leave you alone and not try to act tough. Hopefully Harry will get the chance to do that especially with that anti Dementor spell. I'd enjoy seeing those bullies go through that torment.

And the interaction with Daphne....yup, as bad as it might be to hold a character to a particular trope...I mean the whole Ice Queen persona has come to be who and what Daph is, and any fics where she doesn't have that persona in some form just feel foreign and wrong really.

Couple times got into trouble myself in school when was younger and in high school and I was only defending myself against bigger and stronger students who thought was fun to pick on me and push me around. And yet I was still punished despite doing nothing but defending myself never mind that those who did pick on me...had a high social standing and had parents who were connected well enough in the community so they got off mostly scot free...I learned from a very young age that there is no justice in this world cept what we make and if we want true justice it must be pursued on our own with no hesitation because those in authority or the world will not give it out to those who truly deserve it.
