Stories like this are not simple. The emotions they evoke are supposed to be complicated. On your issue with Elaina and Grindelwald I think you misunderstood the whole point. Grindelwald manipulated Elaina just as he did everyone else. There was no other way he would've allowed it to happen because he wanted a second chance at his cause. It just didn't make it because Harry put a stop to it. As for the no real consequences, she did save all their asses at Potter Manor and while Dorea was upset, Harry was just relieved to have his girl back. The James thing tho. That was written from the beginning. There was foreshadowing of that from the first 10 chapters. James had to die for Harry to become who he was supposed to be. If James doesn't die Harry doesn't have what it takes to go after Dumbledore. So much changes. I tell you it was almost Charlus, but I changed my mind and went with the original plan. I am glad you enjoyed the story and accept the gripes just wanted to explain my thoughts behind it. Honestly you shouldn't read my other works because killing characters and putting complicated emotions into stories is my aspect of Fanfiction that I love the most.

2024-11-20 00:12:43 +0000 UTCi am huge mix of emotions at the moment after just finishing reading the story and i have number of things to say. firstly while some of what i say may come across as to harsh or overly critical. i want it to be understood despite the issues i had which were in all honesty just a few. i did enjoy the story from start to finish with the exception of two things firstly the whole elaina leaving to join grindelwald with little to no explanation and no real consequences for her in regards to the relationship with harry. yes i understand grindelwald was her last family member. also yes i know she had to learn to control her magic but the way she went about things was fucked up and wrong. yes i can understand her reasoning and all that but still there had to be another way. in all honesty im sure there was a reason behind the scenes as to why that part was executed how it was done but it is not clear lol. anyways dont mean to ramble on about that the long and short is the part with elaina should have been handled better yes i wanted them to end up together and yes i know conflict in relationships and things happen but still should have been done better :). the other part i really didnt care for was the death of james along with the uncertain future now for lilly etc. yes death and character death is part of things i know and understand all to well but why james i just do not understand. i didnt expect things to end perfectly for everyone especially in a story involving war of any kind. ill be honest the gripe i have with the first thing elaina leaving harry and the others caused me to stop reading this fic for few months and i almost didnt come back to it. eventually i decided to see how the story was ended and while im glad harry and elaina and most of the others got the hea they deserved i still cant help but be disappointed in those couple of things. sorry i dont mean to ramble fully about this so will close this comment out with one final statement. i truly did enjoy this fic overall and despite the misgivings and gripes i had and still have it has become one of my favirote fics so nods yes complicated feelings here lol. your a truly great and awesome author orion/beau not sure which name you prefer to go by but nods. in the end im not sure just yet if ill continue reading your other works. despite all of that i am glad this fic exists and that i came across it when i did a few months or so ago.

Still would like to see a fic involving a daughter of his though or heck even one where Gellert and Harry are friends of sorts.
