You know in a way Gellert gets the last laugh against Dumbledore? In that his line will live on and still lives on in Elaina, true she is not quite like him, but she has his blood and it will live in through the bloodline she will share with Harry if and when they get married and have children of their own. So really the Grindewald line will live on still.

Claims to be oh so powerful, yet he was not half the man that Gellert was, Gellert could have conquered the world and damn near came close, all Tommy did was take most of Britain.
