I want to take a page out of my favorite authors page and see what you guys think. We are coming to an end on Dreams of Home. I would like to start slowly building up my chapters on what comes next. I am currently kicking around 3 ideas, and based on your votes, it will likely decide where I am going next. So read carefully, and let me know what you guys think.
Harry X Bellatrix Story: A Divine Move
Harry is back in the year 1970 at the age of 22. Deciding that he really is no match for Voldemort he decides to beat him from the inside out. Starting with becoming a Professor at Hogwarts he aims to be apart of Voldemorts inner circle and figures the best way to do it, is to target his most faithful, Bellatrix.
Harry X Daphne Story: The Dark Apprentice
A quiet, brilliant, Slytherin Harry, ends up in the Chamber of Secrets facing a fully revived seventeen year old Tom Riddle. Tom has been whispering in the ear of this brilliant boy all year, and realized he may have an apprentice on his hands. Instead of killing Harry they form a blood pact entering an agreement that will change the Wizarding World forever.
Harry X Fleur: Fleur La Fois
Sequel to Fleur De Lis. Harry and Fleur are hurled back to 1944 due to a device of power beyond comprehension. Naturally Harry is curious about the origins of his master, and seeks to meet, and maybe change the man's path. This will be heavily Fleur centered as well as she realized perhaps they settled down to early instead of living a life of adventure, she now craves. Charlus vs Grindelwald will play a huge role in the story as Harry chooses between family and his master.

This Harry will basically be the Dreams of Home Harry that had to live with his failures for 5 years. That would change a man. As for 17 year old Tom Riddle...he's still an immensely powerful prodigy without the insanity of his older self. He's no Dumbledore at this time, but that's why he would need another wizard of his caliber to take down Dumbledore.

2024-07-12 02:30:11 +0000 UTCI don’t like any of the ideas, honestly. I like the Fleur story the least. You did a great job with that story to just have it undone thru time travel. The Daphne story? V is too young in the diary and has none of his older self’s power. He is a child, a bit powerful but a joke at 16. The only way I see this working would be if the horcrux was like 40 or something. So I would do the cup, locket or ring maybe. None of those were ever specified time wise. The Bellatrix story, Harry doesn’t have the mentality to basically be undercover acting evil for who knows how long. These decisions he makes are going to be his and I don’t see him living with them.

2024-07-12 00:59:52 +0000 UTCThere are ways around the “he would have to do awful things”…he could target bad people, pretend to kill people and hide them instead, there’s even an argument for the “greater good” which would pose an interesting parallel between Harry and Dumbledore…as for the knowledge of the future being an issue, I don’t think he knows all that much…sure he knows about the horcruxes buts most aren’t given specific dates of creation of locations of hiding…just because the cup was one place in the future doesn’t mean it’s been sitting there since it’s creation…same with deaths or acts of terror…Harry know when some things generally occur but aside from his parents deaths, he really didn’t ask a lot of questions or know a lot…Dumbledore and Fate helped a lot

2024-07-12 00:57:41 +0000 UTCI get this but Harry was orphaned, abused, and hunted for his entire childhood as a result of his parents. He very easily could have adapted to survive or internalized his trauma differently which is, I think, the foundation for any Harry working with Voldemort fanfics…

He is one of my fav characters and I grateful authors like you lot write fics that have more of him in them. I do very much hope that ya keep on that trend that have fics with him in them as well!

They are all thoughts I've had, but I think that one is bursting in my mind the most. Pure preference though. Fleur La Fois is my baby. I love it. I want it. It may not be next, it may never be Patreon exclusive, but it's inevitable! It may just not be next. I may need to grow more as a writer because it will be a challenge.

2024-07-11 22:48:21 +0000 UTCNah the 3rd one Harry is on the whiteish Grey side. He says himself in Fleur De Lis that Power is Power. He won't be butchering people. The DaphneXHarry will be the darkest version of him. Basically a redo of Dark Lord's rising but better.

I'm saying this because in some ways I find canon to be to black and white in regards to traditions of muggles and magic. (Ex: if you celebrate wizard holidays then you are obviously evil even if in itself it isn't). I'll have to think on it

2024-07-11 22:37:29 +0000 UTCI mean, he’d have to do some pretty terrible things to become inner circle.. also the issue with a time travel fic that involves infiltration is that Harry already knows all the important info, like the horocruxes and their general locations, and the names of the key death eaters

2024-07-11 21:54:31 +0000 UTCTbh, these prompts aren’t super interesting because I can never imagine Harry working with/for the murderer of his parents.. I kinda like the second prompt, but I’d prefer if tom doesn’t revive himself (which would kill Ginny, pushing Harry further against him) but maybe Harry can interact with the diary without possession because of the horocrux in his scar and learn from that. That idea has been tossed around a lot already though.. my preference would be a time travel fight against grindelwald story like when roses bloom again. Or a not boy who lived fic. Regardless, I’ll continue to support and read because of the quality of your writing
