What she did isn't what I would do but I'm not an orphan so I don't technically know what I'd do in her situation. And she young (and unfortunately we do stupid things that we wouldn't do looking back). If harry still wants to be with her then while I understand some could be reasonably angry they're gonna have to be carful not to push them both away

Some are talking about how she needs to suffer more but that's a little much to me especially as she was going to go back with them and she was forcefully taken from the area. Though I'd get some being angry at her. If they stay angry for too long or become resentful though I see her leaving and I wouldn't blame her. I get harry understanding her and I feel some people are pretty unsympathetic to someone who thought they were an orphan finding family members (especially cause they're all still pretty young) and I think grindelwald manipulated her with visions of them dying with the intention to make her believe she needed to stay with him to learn (which apparently he easily manipulated much older and stronger people then her). James I understand him but at the same time I find him to be very nieve and I understand why they lost the war with many seeming to be like him (unable to make the hard decisions). I actually find myself more annoyed by him then Elaine

Also her only family was a mass murdering psychopath who brought the magical world to its knees and killed her future father and uncle in law’s fathers…so there’s also that.

2024-06-25 16:17:55 +0000 UTCOh great and mighty Beau Brown creator of a story so magnificent your very readers are up in arms over wether or not a poor orphan girl deserves forgiveness for leaving her friends for the only blood relative she had. Heed our words, we wish for the orphan girl to suffer even more, for her decisions were truly stupid. We wish not for her to be given forgiveness but to be shunned and made to earn it. We also wish for her to be left out in vanquishing the one called Voldemort making her decision to leave her friends even more dumb.

I’m not feeling a lot of sympathy even though it was obvious that it was going to happen. Actions have consequences and betrayal can only happen from people you let in. I don’t think anyone is saying she’s evil, but expecting to be welcomed back wholeheartedly is braindead.

We all are for Christ sake. On a side note I can’t help but wonder how Elaine would react if grindlewald would’ve come back to the family home after killing Harry and Charlus. I kinda want a bonus chapter of that just to see how you’d do it. Anyway as expected a beautiful chapter that makes me sad I have to wait another week.
