Harry killed Lastrange much earlier in the story and from what info was given he was powerful at Hogwarts and then got training from voldy and Harry outclassed him (if we disregard Harry losing himself, which still happens pretty much every time there is a real combat scenario) And Harry's got months of more training at this point with and without the Potters. It's also about feel, it just feels like Harry's gotten a lot weaker, now that may not be true but that is the feel, and it's kinda wired. Now it feels like i sound awfully negative, but i've really enjoyed this story overall sofar and looking forward to see where this goes!

2024-03-15 08:24:43 +0000 UTCThere wasn't much of a time gap, it just felt that way in the writing. As it should. When you are in catastrophe seconds can feel like hours. Also offering the knowledge also meant his own death. It was the same sacrifice he attempted at the beginning.

And the biggest advantage Harry has is knowledge about the future - why would he give that up?? Charlus, Albus etc know about Horcruxes now, why is he bartering with Tom!
