2023-11-09 21:45:55 +0000 UTCHe actually isn't. Canon tells us that a switch seemed to flip in James 7th year. There has also been no doubt of his talent. He just lacks conviction. What 17 year old wouldn't? Watch the war develop and see what happens to his character. It's all for a reason! Thanks for reviewing 🙏🏽

Only one point - not sure why James is characterised this way (and don’t like this aspect), is it to make Harry and Elena more awesome.. Not sure what the payoff is. In canon he is much more capable, he was an animagus at an young age, invented the map, is said to be among the brightest of his year and he and Lily defied Voldemort thrice (suggesting atleast better than McG, Kingsley and Slughorn in combat) , which I take to mean they held him off three times or maybe even fought him to a standstill one of these times. Make James be his normal self :)
