Chapter 0819: Natsume-sensei Shattered Necrozma(Three-in-One)
Added 2025-09-11 00:00:06 +0000 UTCApril 17th, Sunday.
The sun rose over the distant horizon, its golden light spilling across the sea. Alola welcomed a brand new day.
People stood in awe, gazing up at the sky where Ultra Wormholes lingered. They watched as a massive, radiant golden Pokémon flew inside and vanished as the rift closed.
“What was that Pokémon…?”
“Could it be the ‘Radiant Lord’ our elders spoke of, the one who drove away Alola's darkness?”
“It actually looked like it was in kind of a hurry, didn't it?”
“Whatever it was—this whole bizarre solar eclipse was only resolved because of Natsume-sensei, Red, and Blue Oak.”
The sun rose as usual, life kept rolling on, but the torch that was lit would never fade—should darkness fall again, it would light the eyes and hearts of everyone in Alola.
That morning, Aether Foundation, in cooperation with the International Police’s UB Countermeasures Division, held a press conference.
Lusamine made her first public appearance in ages, announcing her temporary leave from Aether Foundation, with Section Chief Wicke now taking over.
“Now, I will explain yesterday’s anomalous solar eclipse, from start to finish,” Lusamine addressed the crowd. “The entity codenamed UB: Black, discovered yesterday at the Altar of the Sunne, was the Ultra Beast responsible for the eclipse phenomenon.”
“In truth, UB: Black is the ‘Radiant Lord’ that had lost its light. Thanks to three selfless Legendary Trainers, and the combined efforts of all Alola residents, our region managed to overcome this crisis.”
“On behalf of everyone in Alola, I offer heartfelt thanks to those three Trainers—and express deep admiration for all who held onto hope through the darkness.”
The hall erupted into applause.
Anabel, in a sharp black suit and with an icy calm expression, announced, “Next, we will be releasing footage from the incident to all residents of Alola.”
Reporters looked up—the big screen played back fierce battle scenes, the climactic clash between Natsume and Necrozma!
Most people didn’t know what “Battle Legends” really meant… but when the raw footage rolled, they saw for themselves: “Battle Legends” were Trainers who could face down legendary Pokémon and not only hold their own, but dominate the fight.
The video showed Natsume commanding multiple Pokémon at once, precisely managing their battle against Necrozma’s laser beams—confident, calm, and never hesitating.
The reporters stared, jaws hanging open; for a moment, they forgot their notebooks and their questions, simply awed at the power of a true Legendary Trainer.
Then, a shock: two flashes of red and green rushed in to assist—Red and Blue Oak!
Cameras kept rolling as all three “Battle Legends” stood together. The crowd grew rowdy, the sound of wild applause rising as Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur—the original Starter trio—stepped forward and unleashed their Ultimate Moves.
“That’s what it means to be a Pokémon Master!”
“These guys are unreal!”
“With this video out there, fans will be arguing for days about whether Natsume-sensei or Red is stronger.”
“In a full 6v6 battle, Blue Oak is a force too—but in a 3v3, Natsume-sensei crushed him.”
The footage continued: Necrozma at last fell asleep, but the moment the moves faded, the darkness was so thick you couldn’t see your own hand.
Rotom switched to infrared—recording as Natsume spoke to Red and Blue Oak, then approached Arcanine.
Suddenly, everyone watching held their breath.
Howls echoed through the canyon, fire roared to life, and all of Poni Island responded to Arcanine’s cry—each time, more lights joined in.
“That Arcanine is legendary!”
“It really does remind you of the mythical one from Touran mythology!”
When they saw all four islands light up like a passing torch, the reporters—usually so worldly and jaded—fell silent, eyes misty.
Because this light wasn’t the “Radiant Lord’s” mercy.
It was every Trainer, and every Pokémon, shining with their own power.
The viewpoint switched from Rotom’s camera to an edited sequence showing each of the four islands standing together.
Countless golden particles soared skyward—drawn into the black hole that gradually became a golden sphere of hope.
Reporters stared in wonder.
“I was there yesterday—I was part of it!”
“Me too! I didn’t even have a Z-Ring, but Litten and I felt it!”
“If you believe—you can become the light yourself!”
The room bubbled with passionate, excited debate.
Without a doubt, once this video entered the wider world, it would spark waves of shock and inspiration.
“Red and Blue Oak gave it their all—but the MVP has to be Natsume Champion.”
“If not for Natsume-sensei…the eclipse would have lasted much longer.”
“With Natsume-sensei here, Alola always finds the blue sky again!”
Anabel and “Handsome,” the middle-aged man beside her, shared a quiet smile.
They had foiled Faba’s schemes, formed the Ultra Defense Team, and restored Ultra Necrozma’s original form…
Without realizing it, Chief Natsume had carved out yet another Champion moment in Alola’s history.
As the press conference ended, reporters not only got their big headline but something more important—a true sense of inspiration and hope.
Besides making a living, everyone needs something worth fighting for.
Understanding, hope, bonds… and light.
News of the Radiant Lord’s appearance and departure spread quickly through the chat groups.
“So there really was a Radiant Lord! And it looks nothing like our Earth Pokémon.”
Crystal was amazed. “Even Professor Oak was stunned.”
Lance agreed. “Yeah, the Ultra Beasts are a whole different thing.”
“Ultra Beasts are Pokémon from another world,” Natsume said. “And in their world, people and Ultra Beasts rarely form bonds—so they end up in conflict, destroying each other’s homes. On Earth, we have a similar history…but thank goodness the profession of ‘Trainer’ was born.”
“So, by your theory…Ultra Necrozma is like another world’s Arceus?” Cynthia said, a concept never once mentioned in the Pokémon world.
But…Cynthia smirked, resting her chin in her palm. Clearly, he’d picked up that idea from me—after all, I’m his fiancée...
“It’s just a theory,” Natsume replied. The official sources did suggest Ultra Necrozma could rival Arceus.
Arceus had also been wronged by humans. In the same way, Ultra Necrozma was betrayed by the humans of Ultra Megalopolis, stripped of its “light,” became Necrozma, invaded Earth searching to reclaim it.
What would Necrozma do to the people of Ultra Megalopolis on its return…?
Yet surely, there must be those in that world who believe in the bond between humans and Ultra Beasts, and would willingly fight for that hope.
For a moment, Natsume missed N. How is his journey going? Have relations between humans and Pokémon improved? Does forced Poké Ball enslavement still exist?
The answer is yes—but the world’s on a better, brighter path.
“I watched that video!” Iris hollered, “Awesome! Senior Red, Senior Blue Oak, and Natsume-sensei—they’re all amazing!”
“Video?” Gold scratched his head.
“The one with the three Battle Legends fighting Necrozma together! It’s already posted on the official Alola League site!” Iris said.
“I know that one!”
Ash joined in, “It’s the video of Natsume-sensei shattering Necrozma—I was there in person!”
Hiss—
All the group chat members gasped.
Natsume’s eyelid twitched.
If you were there, it can’t possibly be good news!
……
That afternoon, an edited video called “Shock! The Three Battle Legends vs Necrozma!” went up on NicoDou, Pokémon Short Films, YouTube, and more.
The long-dormant account ‘Natsume-sensei, Are You Serving Dinner Today?’ shared it and hit Like.
Within hours, views passed the million mark, launching it to the Top Post of the day!
The video opens with lightning: the three Battle Legends standing shoulder to shoulder, leaving audiences star-struck.
“Saw it from Natsume-sensei’s link.”
“Red is so cool—my mom has a crush now!”
“Wow, Natsume-sensei is STILL wearing that beat-up shirt, the black-and-gold Champion outfit from City of Wastes?!”
“Easy one—Champion duds were too OP, got his main banned, now he’s using a side account in Alola’s Baby Cup. (lol)”
Chat messages streamed by—spectators, selfie-seekers, live witnesses… Fans were hooked.
When Sacred Fire rose, the chat filled with the words: “tears in my eyes.”
“This is hype!”
“Crying now, I love that Arcanine!”
“Surely this is Arcanine at legendary level, right?”
In the Touran League, Saionji watched carefully and let out a long sigh.
Just as the fans guessed, this loyal, brave Arcanine really had reached the heights of legend told in Touran mythology.
It’s not about simple breeding—it’s about fearless courage, self-sacrifice… the stuff of legends that only Arcanine can embody.
The video continued: Natsume-sensei and Gengar unleashed a never-before-seen Z-Move—Natsume dubbed it “Gengar Z!”
“No way, that’s not a legal Z-Move!”
“Natsume-sensei said Solgaleo gave it to him… Who’s gonna argue with that?”
“Looks like Natsume-sensei’s Gengar Z is a fusion of Darkinium Z and Ghostium Z, with bonus golden healing powers. (Probably.)”
“Even without a Z-Ring, I feel like I became the light!”
In just a few minutes, the video ignited a huge buzz.
Well-known Trainers like Leon, Raihan, and Cynthia reposted it, bringing Alola’s legends to the whole world.
All told?
Natsume’s time in Alola basically went like this: entered the Baby Cup, casually smashed Solgaleo (and Blue Oak too, not that we need to mention it)…
Bred a whole cast of legendary-level Pokémon, and even created a unique signature Z-Move with Gengar.
But for Natsume himself?
His biggest takeaway from Alola was Moe-Moe!—who said yes to his proposal…
Alola Region, as night fell.
A lively banquet and campfire party rolled out on the beach at Hau’oli City.
Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet, all four Island Kahunas, the Pokémon School’s students, visitors from Pallet Town…
Even Team Rocket and Bewear, normally hiding in tree hollows, were invited to join.
Open-air grills lined the beach, coals smoking among mountains of berries and grilled meat, peppers of every color, the aroma irresistible as hot juices sizzled over the fire.
Mallow, true to her chef’s heritage, arrived with her family to help Natsume-sensei, taking charge of the mammoth feast.
For his part, Natsume brought out two bits of “legendary kitchen gear”—
Kartana, and Rotom!
Swish, swish, swish—Kartana’s blade was precise and swift, shredding cabbage in an instant. Mallow handed it another head.
“Each slice is exactly the same!” Mallow gasped.
“Kartana!” Kartana struck a proud pose.
As Natsume always said, even chopping cabbage is the path of the legendary swordsman…
Rotom morphed into Oven Form, speeding up the cooking and adding perfect flavor, sniffling as it went:
“Beep…System Overload, Rotom~o(╥﹏╥)o”
Natsume: “You’ll get it soon—I got you two top-grade Hokulani Observatory batteries just for this.”
Rotom shuddered, “Beep…Now I get it, Rotom!”
White smoke rose along the coast, the scent of open-air yakiniku blending with the whisper of the waves. Gengar roamed the party, balancing a tray of frosty berry juice.
“Gengar…( ̄▽ ̄)~*” Gengar’s crimson eyes narrowed with joy.
“Is that…Executive’s Gengar?!” Jessie, in a white sundress and sun hat, nearly lost her sunglasses in shock.
“Gengar serving the guests in person, meow?!” Meowth was blown away.
Gengar stopped in front of Team Rocket, peering at the three: “Gengar?”
They all shook their heads no, like rattles.
Gengar personally handed them cocktails, nodding in satisfaction: “Gengar! ( ̄▽ ̄)*”
As Gengar walked away, the trio clutched their drinks, eyes tearing up.
“Geng…Gengar…”
“What a sweetheart!!”
“Wobbuffet!”
Natsume, in a spotless white apron, stood by the grill stirring a pot of rich stew, tasting a spoonful.
“Mmm, perfect!” Natsume’s eyes lit up; he gave himself a little thumbs up.
“Natsume-sensei…” Mallow said softly by his side, “Everyone says you’ll be moving soon…”
“The three-month course is over,” Natsume smiled. “Kukui will handle things from here. I’ve got other important business.”
Like finding a way to make Jirachi stay. Or finding Sirfetch'd an even more delicious Galar Leek…
Alola was beautiful and peaceful—a perfect place for a vacation. But a Trainer always sets out on a new journey.
“I want to help out at your shop, learn from you this summer!” Mallow said.
“Of course. I’d love that.”
On the other side of the beach, the students all chimed in:
“Natsume-sensei’s moving away?!”
“Shhh…” Ash hushed them, “He didn’t want you to know…”
“It’s for the World Tournament, right?” Lillie whispered.
“I heard all the other Champions will be there too,” Kiawe nodded, resigned. “Not much we can do about it…”
Lana lowered her head, clearly sad.
“Let’s give Natsume-sensei a farewell gift before he goes!” Sophocles suggested. “That way, whenever he sees it, he’ll remember us!”
“Great idea! But…what should we give him?” Kiawe scratched his head.
“Gracidea,” Lana said quietly.
“Huh?”
“Gracidea grows in Alola’s prettiest flower fields,” Lana replied. “And its meaning is ‘thanks’…”
The banquet began.
Table after table was stacked with food, all for the guests.
Why did Natsume save the world and still do the cooking himself…?
Because no chef’s food tasted as good as his—and he figured, why not pitch in himself?
Red and Blue Oak were blown away by Natsume’s food, and once again Green voiced her complaint:
“No matter how hard you two try together, you’ll never cook as well as Yellow!”
Yellow scratched her yellow ponytail shyly. “Eh-heh…”
Blue Oak: “...You can’t cook either.”
Green replied self-righteously, “Silver can! And I trained him!”
Red: “…”
He had no comeback.
“Oh right.” Red said, “About the World Championship…”
“Yeah,” Blue Oak nodded, “We’d better start preparing.”
Blue Oak added, “And before I leave Alola for Pallet Town, I need to go somewhere.”
“Where?” Red asked curiously.
“Johto Region.” Blue Oak’s gaze was firm.
Red: “…”
Gold, my condolences!
Ash didn’t follow Natsume and Red’s group away from Alola.
He chose to stay, aiming for the first-ever Alola League Champion title.
If he succeeded, his title would upgrade from Tournament Champion to League Champion—Alola might be a small place, but it's the real deal, making him a Champion on the same level as Iris.
The students became full members of the Ultra Defense Team, responsible for sending Buzzwole, Celesteela, Pheromosa, and other wayward Ultra Beasts back home.
As night deepened, the beach party drew to a close.
Dong, dong—
Principal Samson Oak’s Komala rang the huge bell it always carried.
"Oh, it’s already ten o’clock."
Natsume glanced at the now-empty cookpots, giving a satisfied nod.
Time to head home and rest!
“Natsume-sensei—”
Red and Blue Oak came over, Blue Oak starting to say, “Let’s talk more about the World Championship... the ... details...”
As they walked, Blue Oak’s eyelids drooped. Suddenly, his steps wobbled, and he collapsed to the sand.
A soft, lovely lullaby drifted by.
“Jiiiii jigglypuff, jigglypuff jig, jiggle oh, jiggl....?”
Wait a minute...
Natsume’s face changed; he fought to stay awake as he glanced sideways.
Red, too, was nodding off—he slumped to the sand. “What’s happening…”
He fell too, mid-sentence.
The gentle voice kept singing. Bewear yawned and hugged Stufful and Team Rocket close.
Nestled in Bewear’s arms, Team Rocket mumbled in their sleep:
“What sort of feeling… is this~”
Natsume turned his head.
Even Ash, tough as nails, was snoring away. Solgaleo curled up, fast asleep.
“No…”
Natsume could barely keep his eyes open. The last thing he saw was a round, devilish-looking, pink Pokémon.
“I…did my best too…”
Thunk!
Natsume collapsed.
The three Battle Legends—taken out in a single blow!
The song ended.
Jigglypuff basked in self-satisfaction, then looked around in anticipation.
But a gentle breeze drifted by—the entire crowd, Trainers and Pokémon alike, were fast asleep. Not a soul left awake.
Jigglypuff was about to puff up in anger when it suddenly had an idea.
No, wait—there was still one Pokémon awake!
Dong, dong—
Komala hugged its wooden log, still ringing the bell, completely unaffected by Jigglypuff’s song.
Jigglypuff peered at it, readying its marker for doodling, but Komala dodged every single time!
“Jiggly!” Jigglypuff’s eyes widened, almost tearing
I finally found an audience who can make it through my entire song!
Komala’s ability, “Comatose,” keeps it asleep 24 hours a day—yet it can still move and can’t be put to sleep again.
After all, you can’t put a Pokémon to sleep if it’s already sleeping.
This moment, Komala hugged its log as always, no different than usual: “Komala…”
“Puff—puff!! (^▽^ )”
Jigglypuff gently touched Komala, her eyes crinkling into a delighted smile.
Thank you, Komala~!
