Chapter 287:Quiet Yet Lively

Early morning, the first rays of sunlight from the farm quietly peeked through the window.

Misuzu, barefoot, leaned against the windowsill, looking outside.

Most of the Morelull, who had been lively all night, had already gone to rest. Occasionally, one or two playful Morelull could be seen searching for today's resting spot.

The air was filled with a faint mist.

Every now and then, a Wishiwashi or two leaped out of the river, only to splash back into the water with a soft plop.

Ripples spread across the water's surface.

The farm's morning was quiet.

"Dodrio~"

A Dodrio walked past the window where Misuzu was leaning.

"Good morning."

Misuzu looked curiously at the Dodrio, then waved in greeting.

The Dodrio glanced at Misuzu, nodded slightly, and then hopped onto the roof.

Misuzu leaned out to watch the Dodrio.

The Dodrio took a deep breath.

"Dodrio~ Dodrio~ Dodrio~"

A loud wake-up call instantly echoed across the farm.

Misuzu was startled.

"Noivern!"

From the nearby forest, an Air Cutter shot toward the roof.

It was Noivern, who had just fallen asleep not long ago.

"Dodrio~"

The Dodrio quickly jumped down from the roof.

In the water, Feraligatr surfaced with a displeased expression and fired a Water Gun at the Dodrio. The Dodrio opened its mouth.

Tri Attack.

Boom!

An explosion rang out.

"Infernape~"

Infernape ran over excitedly.

"Want to battle?"

"Greninja."

Greninja jumped down from a tree.

"Perrserker."

Perrserker patted Greninja.

It still hadn't given up on recruiting Greninja.

Greninja ignored it and walked away.

Perrserker chased after it.

"Greninja!"

Greninja turned around, throwing a Water Shuriken.

"Perrserker!"

Perrserker swung its short sword-like claws, blocking Greninja's attack. Perrserker's expression grew even more excited.

"That's more like it!"

Perrserker leaped into the air, launching an attack.

"Sirfetch'd."

Sirfetch'd glanced at them, then gathered the other Fighting-type Pokémon who were also ready.

They were about to start their morning jog around the farm for stamina training.

The farm's morning was noisy and lively.

"Delibird~"

Delibird flew toward Pidgeot.

Starting today, Delibird was joining the farm's delivery team.

"Pidgeot~"

Pidgeot responded, then took off with Delibird and Pidgeotto, heading toward the direction of Linhai City.

Misuzu looked up at Delibird and Pidgeot flying into the sky and murmured softly, "A new day has begun."

Inside Natsume's Room

Kiko suddenly opened her eyes.

She turned to the left and saw that Misaki was already awake, getting dressed.

Although Misaki's clothes looked loose to Kiko, they seemed tight once they covered her ample chest.

Natsume leaned against the headboard, scrolling through his phone.

There wasn't much major news internationally.

Just some sightings of legendary Pokémon.

For example, a few days ago, someone spotted the legendary Articuno while climbing a snowy mountain.

Now, a large group of mountain climbers were heading toward that snowy peak.

Or, in another region, a conflict had broken out over the ownership of a newly discovered secret realm near the border.

Aside from that, the biggest Pokémon-related news was probably about Natsume's farm.

After all, this place might truly become the land of gods.

As Natsume scrolled through his phone, he felt movement under the blanket.

He reached under the blanket and gently ruffled Kiko's hair. "You're up early."

"Yeah."

Kiko's muffled voice came from under the blanket.

Misaki, now fully dressed, adjusted her hair somewhat awkwardly. "I'll head down first."

"I need to help Miltank and the others soon."

"Alright."

After Misaki left, Kiko finally emerged from under the blanket.

She looked at Natsume with a hint of resentment. "How am I supposed to face Misaki now?"

Natsume chuckled. "You got along just fine last night, didn't you?"

"That... that was because..."

Kiko's face turned red, all the way down to her neck.

Natsume smiled. "Don't overthink it. Let's just keep living as we always have."

"Celebi~"

As Natsume spoke, Celebi flew in through the window and landed in his arms.

"Good morning, Celebi."

Natsume gently stroked Celebi. "Have you already explored the farm?"

"Celebi~"

Natsume got out of bed. "We'll head out now. You can rest a bit longer."

Kiko wrapped herself tightly in the blanket. "Okay."

After getting dressed, Natsume played with Celebi, who was perched on his collar, and headed downstairs.

Aiko was still asleep.

Misuzu sat by the window, lost in thought, watching the flower field and the fluttering Cutiefly.

Misaki walked to the table. "Good morning, Indeedee, Gardevoir."

"Indeedee?"

Misaki shook her head, then picked up a sandwich. "I'll head to the pasture first."

"Meltan~"

Meltan raised its Metal Bucket, signaling that it was ready.

Misaki smiled at Meltan. "Let's go, Meltan."

After Misaki left, Misuzu watched Natsume come downstairs and stood up. "Good morning, Gym Leader Natsume."

"No need to be so formal." Natsume casually sat at the dining table and picked up a berry.

Celebi took the berry from Natsume's hand, hopped onto the table, and began nibbling on it.

Natsume grabbed a sandwich. "Did you sleep well last night?"

"Very peacefully."

"Honestly, it's been a long time since I've slept so comfortably."

Misuzu spoke sincerely. "This place really is as magical as the rumors say."

Natsume smiled. "I think it's probably because of the Soothe Bell."

A breeze blew through the doorway.

The Soothe Bell chimed softly in the wind, its soothing tones calming and relaxing.

Natsume continued, "The Soothe Bell has the power to soothe the hearts of both humans and Pokémon."

"But, Miss Misuzu, since you've come here, I assume it's not just for temporary peace of mind, is it?"

Misuzu sat down across from Natsume.

Natsume slid a sandwich toward her. "Try this. It's Indeedee's special sandwich."

"If you like it sweet, you can add some Combee honey."
