Chapter 252:Blaziken and Greninja vs. the Weavile Pack

The Poké Ball released a flash of red light, and in an instant, Blaziken and Greninja appeared in front of the Weavile pack.

Yuki glanced at the cave entrance and let out a small sigh of relief. "Looks like we made it just in time."

"There’s a hostile presence," Gardevoir murmured softly, standing beside Natsume. "But they retreated as soon as they sensed us approaching."

Gardevoir had picked up on the malicious intent radiating from the humans hiding nearby. However, the hostility wasn’t directed at Natsume or his group—it was aimed at the research team.

Natsume surveyed the area calmly. "Understood. Let’s deal with this first."

"Sneasel."

The four Weavile exchanged glances, seemingly assessing the strength of Blaziken and Greninja.

After receiving the task, Natsume addressed the Weavile. "Are you hunting?"

"Sneasel."

The Weavile leader stared intently at Natsume.

The Weavile explained that they were only trying to steal the humans’ backpacks because they were filled with food.

"I see," Natsume said with a smile. "In that case, how about a battle? If you win, their backpacks are yours. If you lose, you’re mine. Deal?"

"Sneasel!"

As soon as Natsume finished speaking, the Weavile leader let out a low growl. Immediately, two Weavile launched Quick Attack, one charging at Blaziken and the other at Greninja. Meanwhile, the third Weavile remained stationed at the cave entrance, while the leader kept its eyes locked on Natsume.

Natsume quickly issued commands. "Blaziken, Blaze Kick! Greninja, jump into the trees and use Water Shuriken! Target all the Weavile!"

After giving his orders, Natsume turned to Yuki. "Please leave this battle to us. Don’t intervene."

Yuki glanced at Blaziken and Greninja and smiled. "Understood. You’re training them, aren’t you?"

She released her Sawsbuck. "Sawsbuck, let’s watch their battle."

Sawsbuck and Yuki stood to the side, their attention focused on Blaziken and the others.

"Blaziken!"

Flames erupted from Blaziken’s arms. It eyed the Weavile with excitement before launching a fiery kick at the Weavile charging toward it.

Greninja, too, was brimming with excitement. For Greninja, this was the kind of battle it needed to become a legend!

"Greninja!"

Greninja’s speed and agility were remarkable. It leaped backward, landing on a tree branch. In the same motion, it hurled four Water Shuriken, each aimed at a different Weavile.

"Sneasel."

The Weavile targeting Greninja quickly jumped to another tree. It stomped hard, snapping the branch beneath it, which fell into the snow. The Weavile itself continued its assault, lunging at Greninja. At the same time, the Weavile guarding the cave entrance and the leader both joined the attack, launching a coordinated assault on Greninja.

The Weavile were working together!

"Impressive teamwork," Natsume remarked. "Double Team!"

"Greninja!"

Suddenly, over twenty Greninja clones appeared in the forest. They darted between the trees, surrounding the Weavile. The three Weavile immediately formed a defensive circle, back-to-back.

Whoosh~

A chilling wind erupted from their mouths as they unleashed Icy Wind. The Greninja clones began to vanish one by one.

Natsume smirked. "If it’s teamwork you want, we can do that too."

"Sneasel!"

The Weavile leader’s expression shifted. It glanced sharply at the Weavile that was supposed to be keeping Blaziken occupied.

"Greninja!"

Aerial Ace!

Greninja struck with precision.

Bam~

With a dull thud, the Weavile was sent flying into a tree.

Thud!

Snow cascaded from the branches as the Weavile slammed into the trunk.

"Sneasel!"

The Weavile leader immediately led the remaining two Weavile in a charge toward Greninja.

"Greninja, Smokescreen! Blaziken, Blaze Kick!"

Gray smoke burst forth from Greninja, obscuring the space between Blaziken and the Weavile leader.

"Blaziken."

Blaziken dashed at high speed toward the Weavile near the tree.

Its flaming leg struck the Weavile square in the chest.

Natsume tossed a Poké Ball.

"One down."

Natsume raised his hand, and the Poké Ball floated back to him. Meanwhile, the remaining three Weavile had retreated to the tree branches to avoid the smokescreen.

Seeing that Natsume had the situation under control, Yuki and Sawsbuck approached the cave entrance.

"Everyone, stay calm," a voice called from inside. "Don’t panic, and don’t come out."

Hearing this, Yuki didn’t enter immediately. Instead, she announced, "I’m Yuki, a ranger from the Towada Lake base."

The cave fell silent for a moment. Then, a Stoutland cautiously poked its head out. Seeing Yuki, it relaxed and barked back into the cave before climbing out.

"Thank goodness!"

"We’re saved!"

"That’s the rangers for you."

Cheers erupted as one by one, the people emerged from the cave.

"Is everyone okay?" Yuki asked.

Hokuto wiped his forehead. "One person fainted, and another has a broken leg."

"Understood," Yuki nodded. "Rescue teams will be here soon."

Takumi, who was being carried by Machoke, immediately noticed the ongoing battle. "Miss Ranger, is that Natsume, the Gym Leader?"
