Chapter 228:More Information, A Peaceful Night

The night was serene, with the light of the stars and the moon streaming through the window, casting a gentle glow on the desk.

Natsume sat in his chair, searching for more information about Aegislash and its connection to Great Britain.

It turned out that statues of Zacian and Zamazenta were scattered across various parts of Great Britain Island. To the locals, they were more than just statues—they were spiritual totems, revered and cherished.

However, the exact location of Aegislash's resting place was a topic of debate. Many believed that the statue in their own region was the true one. This was why the statue on Lake Island didn’t receive much attention.

"Looks like I got pretty lucky," Natsume murmured to himself, holding up the rusted sword in his hand.

Zacian hadn’t seemed to mind Natsume taking the sword, even though it contained a portion of Zacian’s power. Zacian had two forms: the first was its ordinary, everyday form, known as the Warrior of a Hundred Battles. The second form was the Sword King, wielding a sacred blade. The trial Zacian had set for Natsume only required him to defeat Zacian in its regular form.

Whoosh…

Natsume swung the legendary sword through the air.

"Morelull~"

A Morelull hopped onto the desk, curiously eyeing the sword in Natsume’s hand.

Natsume glanced at the Morelull and asked, "What do you think? Pretty cool, huh?"

"Morelull?" The Morelull tilted its head, looking puzzled as it stared at the rusted sword.

"Don’t let its appearance fool you. This is an important weapon of the Sword King, Zacian," Natsume explained.

The Morelull’s expression grew even more confused. Clearly, it didn’t understand the significance of the sword.

Natsume sighed. "Never mind. Go play."

"Morelull~" The Morelull chirped happily before hopping off the desk and toward the window.

"Meltan~" A Meltan was dozing on the windowsill. The two Pokémon exchanged a brief greeting before the Meltan went back to sleep, and the Morelull hopped outside.

Natsume stood up and walked to the window, gazing out into the night. Though the farm was now home to more and more Pokémon, it was still a quiet place most of the time.

Under the tranquil moonlight, a line of Oddish slowly made their way beneath the grapevines. Beneath the windowsill, a few Audino were curled up together, fast asleep.

On an empty patch of land, Gardevoir was teaching Diancie a new move: Dazzling Gleam. Like Power Gem, this move involved emitting a bright light to attack the opponent.

"How’s it going?" Natsume called from the window, watching Gardevoir and Diancie.

"Natsume," Diancie said, walking over to the window with a sheepish expression. "I’m not very good at this yet. I haven’t mastered it."

"Don’t worry. Take your time with it," Natsume reassured her. "If you’re tired, go grab something to eat."

"Yes, Natsume," Diancie replied. "I’ll practice a bit more and then rest."

"Alright, keep at it," Natsume encouraged.

He lingered for a moment, enjoying the peaceful night scene on the farm, before returning to his chair.

"Sylveon~"

Sylveon slipped through the slightly open door and padded over to Natsume. With a graceful leap, it settled onto Natsume’s lap, adjusting itself comfortably.

Natsume absentmindedly scratched Sylveon’s chin as his eyes returned to the computer screen. He had already found Zacian, so naturally, he wanted to capture Zamazenta next.

There was a theory that Zacian and Zamazenta had once lived together. However, after Great Britain was split in two during the battle with Eternatus, the two Pokémon were separated.

"If that’s the case, Zamazenta might be on the Ireland Island side," Natsume mused, finding the theory plausible.

"But it’s too early to think about that now. First, I should book tomorrow’s gym battle."

All gyms in Great Britain were Dynamax gyms, meaning every gym battle could involve Dynamax battles. Aside from that, they weren’t much different from the gyms in the Japan League.

Natsume booked a gym battle for 7 a.m. tomorrow. That would be around 3 p.m. in Great Britain.

"Lopunny~"

Lopunny knocked on the door before entering, carrying a cup of warm milk and a plate of sliced berries.

"Lopunny," Natsume said, taking the tray. "Thanks, Lopunny."

"Lopunny~" Lopunny smiled, but its eyes quickly shifted to Sylveon, who was comfortably nestled in Natsume’s lap. Lopunny wanted that spot.

"Sylveon," Sylveon stuck out its tongue playfully.

No way, no way~

"Lopunny," Lopunny’s eyes turned pleading as it looked at Natsume.

Natsume chuckled, picking up Sylveon and then Lopunny. "There, problem solved."

"Come on, let’s go soak in the hot spring," Natsume said, carrying both Pokémon outside.

Diancie was still practicing Dazzling Gleam in the moonlight. Her body shimmered as a dense wave of Fairy-type energy radiated from her. Gardevoir stood nearby, keeping a watchful eye to ensure Diancie didn’t hurt herself.

Natsume paused to watch.

"Now!" Diancie cheered herself on, and with a burst of energy, the sparkling light from her body shot into the night sky like a shower of silver fireworks.

Diancie had successfully learned Dazzling Gleam.

"See? You got it pretty easily," Natsume said, still holding Sylveon and Lopunny. "You’ve been working hard, Diancie."

Diancie looked at her hands, beaming. "Hehe, not really. It’s all thanks to Gardevoir’s patient teaching."

Gardevoir shook her head with a smile. Diancie’s natural talent made learning moves of her type relatively easy.

"Sylveon~" Sylveon suddenly jumped down from Natsume’s arms and ran over to Diancie.

Diancie looked down at Sylveon. "Do you want to learn this move too?"

"Sylveon~" Sylveon nodded eagerly.

"Sure thing! I’ll teach you," Diancie said.

Natsume laughed. "Anyway, congratulations on learning a new move. You did great, Diancie."

"Thank you, Natsume!" Diancie replied cheerfully.

"Let’s all go soak in the hot spring now," Natsume suggested.

"Yes, Natsume~" Diancie agreed, following him toward the spring.
