Happy Spring to you my friends, readers and perverts

Happy Spring to you my friends, readers and perverts <3

I grew up in a Northern city where springtime has always been truly brutal: everything that was dead coming back to life with a violent relentless energy, the air smells of bonfires and dirt, and you're tired all the time because winter took it all, yet again. Seasons in the UK are much milder, but I'll remind myself of that just for fun.

Hope you enjoyed Easter or other religious festivities you practice or prefer. I've met a few people with a Catholic kink around, and I love a latex nun, but I still feel that religion is not entirely my territory. For your post-Easter kick, there is a great episode of Why Are People Into That? podcast  with DaemonumX on Catholicism (part 1 and part 2). There is no one quite like DaemonumX when it comes to writing on kink and spirituality, and in the past I gladly enjoyed her essay on Tarot, leather and the Daddy card, or this fantastic one on sadism and the concept of offering pain to God.

I recently wrote an essay on Mommy kink and realised too late that I've forgotten to include my favourite personal Mommy obsession – women who cook. From Nigella Lawson to Alison Roman, I should probably write a whole separate piece on desire, food and the caring femme archetype which makes me a little weak in the knees.

And finally, It's been just over two years since I started writing here. I wrote an introduction to "Other Kinds of Pleasures" in my bedroom when London was still in lockdown. Two years later, there is a choice of multiple kink events every month, with playrooms and sweaty dance floors and an endless stream of sexy people who are keen to try new things. I started writing two years ago as a rope bunny and a masochist – now I mostly identify as a fetishist and a domme. If I learnt anything here, then it's the fact that nothing stays the same – everything is always in flux, and all you can do is try to hold on to parts of yourself which truly make you happy. They might shape shift – but they'll be there.

Everything I've ever posted here has been part of an erotic exploration but also an exploration of something just as essential for me – writing. For years, writing has been my biggest pleasure, my identity, my job, my burden, and it's been fun to explore it here, to play and to have fun. In the darkest times, it made me happy.

All the essays from the past two years can be found here

3 picks in case you're new or would like to revisit some hot takes:

- On kink and intimacy

- On bruises (my insta viral hit!)

- On fetishising the "normal" and my kink for tailored suits

While I figure out where to take the project next, enjoy and thank you for reading!

Took a while, but it was worth reading through the archives. Thanks for keeping them up here! :)
