Upcoming GTA V upgrade: Gen9 / Expanded & Enhanced

Alexander Blade, Script Hook V author, has posted an update that he's working on Enhanced.

As you may already know, Rockstar Games will be releasing an upgraded version of GTA V for PC on March 4th, 2025 - or a bit less than a week after this post.

This Expanded & Enhanced / Gen9 upgrade is expected to contain major changes to the game, and existing mods for GTA V will not work and require a (separate) version to be made for Gen9.

My scripts rely and modify low-level parts of GTA V, so they'll also need to have this work done. I'll start working on it when modding tools such as Script Hook V are available. It'll take a while and I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, Rockstar Games have indicated they will release E&E as a separate version that should be able to exist in parallel with the current GTA V version (indicated as "Grand Theft Auto V Legacy" in the Rockstar Games Launcher). I expect this version to continue to function uninterrupted.

As a final note about the current game version: On February 19th, 2025, GTA V was updated to version 1.0.3442.0. Remember to also update Script Hook V and your other mods! I've verified that my scripts continue working on this version.
