Added 2019-02-18 07:01:28 +0000 UTCA quick note on current plans for adding property ownership to the HardLife engine and game:
Planned phases for eventual implementation:
1. Basic Ownership - buy/sell/rent
2. Management - build/furnish/set-prices/manage-staff & inventory (homes and businesses)
3. Minerals/resource-extraction - also includes zoning and crafting
4. Magic/ritual - light/dark/elemental-fields, the karmic history of the property
5. Property on other worlds/planes
6. Governance/laws - and enforcement
7. Conquest and other cultures
8. History, Progress, and Time-travel
9. Destruction of Buildings, Cities, Continents, Worlds, Realities...
10. Creation of new Buildings, Cities, Continents, Worlds, Realities...
Light ownership is what you BUILD.
Dark ownership is what you TAKE.
Legal ownership is what you BUY.
I just wanted to repost these ideas here, to ensure they aren't lost in all the noise of planning/notes and feature-wishlists
