So patreon did a stupid thing again.
Added 2023-08-03 07:03:34 +0000 UTCAnd changed their payment processor so it now routes itself through Ireland instead of the north american ones it had previously used. This has resulted in a LOT of creators losing Patrons at the turn of the month as the sudden unexpected location change has gotten patreon's entire platform flagged as fraudulent by a number of credit card company's and banks that have been auto-cancelling the transaction (Fraudsters have frequently been using routing through Ireland as part of their scams), thus patrons have been dropped as supporters to the creators on the site. And worse, the page on Patreon's site to fix this appears to itself be broken.
Because of course it is.
I am less affected than others since the drop that occurred a couple years ago, but some creators have lost patrons in the hundreds and revenue in the thousands, so if anyone sees anything weird or find themselves auto-dropped from the platform or the people they support here? that would be the reason.
