Spoilers, but the soul forms DO get used by Cross fusion. They're just the original soul forms mapped over the cross fusion suit. So they COULD have, but they didn't; and instead focused things in a different direction.

2023-07-14 00:25:34 +0000 UTCAfter hearing you talk about how the show doesn't use Soul Unions for Cross Fusion, it makes sense why it's used at the end of Access and why they only had Gryo Soul for Stream. They probably didn't want to create different designs for the Cross Fusion form. Along with developing new Cross Fusion designs for Team P & C, I could understand not wanting to blot Stream with the latest Soul Unions and Cross Fusion forms.
