Kaz (she/her) trained as a tattooist, gaining an introduction to the Adapt movement working alongside Kara McAllister-Deane* in east London. She became increasingly interested in the potential of artistic expression through Adaption - especially the notion of giving absolute creative control of one’s body to another.
With her work in demand around the world, Kaz travelled widely and collaborated with more experimental artists. During an Australian tour she formed a close relationship with fellow tattooist and body mod specialist Haven Kennedy (she/they) who returned to London with her.
Drawn deeper in to the world of Adapt advocacy, Kaz concluded that her own desire was to Adapt and become a creative work in her own right - at that time still a very rare, and controversial, decision. With sponsorship from Haven, Kaz committed to her choice - enthusiastically becoming her lover’s... CANVAS.
