Before Dookie
Added 2025-11-14 14:37:06 +0000 UTCI'll be honest... I kind of lost my enthusiasm on this one (not that the video is that bad or anything.) A little backstory - It was really only around middle school that I seriously listened to anyone but The Beatles, and it was Green Day that sort of took up that #1 band mantle for me. I kind of outgrew them around high school, and they were one of those bands that once I outgrew them, I never found myself that interested in them again. Well, when I was pondering another band to cover for my 2nd channel, I randomly thought of Green Day (the success of the Nirvana video did influence this a bit), and perhaps in a burst of nostalgia, I began reading and writing/editing for the next video before realizing...that I just don't really like their music anymore. Not to dismiss their music - it's catchy and energetic, but it just has a juvenile quality to it that I think appealed to me much more when I was younger. ANYWAYS, here it is regardless. For all my patient Beatle-heads, I should be releasing Part 7 and Part 8 of my series back to back...and with that, the break up series will be complete. Phew. It'll be kind of nice to just reset after that, and eventually jump into the making of a Hard Day's Night, which should be good fun. love u all thank u 4 reading <3

Appreciate your transparency on the making of the video. Still quality work! Just as interesting to hear a little bit more behind the scenes on the 2nd channel. For what it’s worth, both the Nirvana and especially the Björk episodes were really captivating and informative. Oh and Happy Birthday! 🎊🎉

Excited to get back to the usual beatles vids :)
