UPDATES: "Set Family Relationships" & "No Romance for Family" Mods

Updated to fix certain relationships not adding correctly (In-Laws for example). Now, has a required script file and new file called "SetFamilyRelationshipsPT2".

If you use the optional addon called "simsmodelsimmer_ADDON_SetFamilyRelationshipsActionsPieMenu", the menus & interactions will appear under the Actions menu.

To Install:

Unzip the following required files and any desired addons.

Required/Mandatory Files for the Mod to Work:

1. simsmodelsimmer_Set Family Relationships" package

2. simsmodelsimmer_SetFamilyRelationships_Relationships(REQUIRED) package

3. simsmodelsimmer_SetFamilyRelationshipsPT2" package

For "No Romance for Family", please pick one version.

In the "Set Family Relationships" zip file, there is an addons folder with optional addons:

1. simsmodelsimmer_ADDON_SetFamilyRelationshipsActionsPieMenu -

This file places the Set Family Relationships menu under the Actions menu for each sim. Must be unzipped directly to your mods folder so that it loads before the main file.

2. simsmodelsimmer_SetFamilyRelationshipsComputerAddon-

Adds the option to Add Relationships via computer (the option to remove relationships is coming in a future update).

3. simsmodelsimmer_SetFamilyRelationshipsRelationshipPanelAddon-

Adds the option to add relationships directly via the relationships panel.

The XML Injector mod is VERY important for the mod to behave correctly.

As of now, you can click directly on any sim in the game to added the following relationships:

- grandparent

- grandchild

- stepbrother/sister

- aunt/uncle

- niece/nephew

- cousin

- stepmother/stepfather

- stepdaughter/stepson

- godmother/godfather

- godson/goddaughter

- adoptive parent

- adopted child

- great-grandparent

- great-grandchild

- great-great-grandparent

- great-great-grandchild

- ancestor

- lineal descendant

These relationships are not currently reflected in the family tree (this is why the options to add parents, siblings, etc. are advised to be added using MC Command Center).

Mod Description:

One of the features I love about MC Command Center is the ability to add relationships. It allows you to add siblings and parents to desired sims. However, you cannot add cousins, uncles, aunts, grandchildren or grandparents yet. This mod allows you to add those relationships! I use it to add cousins since the game only recognizes first cousins by default.

To use the mod, click on the desired sim and click on the Set Family Relationships Menu. Here, you can add or remove relationships (parents are not included because I couldn't get the family tree to update the way MCC grandparents and siblings worked).

To Install: Unzip the included package and script files directly into your Sims 4 mods folder.

My Set Family Relationships Mod allows you to set a target sim as your sim’s cousin, aunt, grandparent, etc., but because of the way the game is coded, the romance menu still appears. The No Romance for Family mod removes the Romance options for family (including those in my Set Family Relationships mod).
