Lordy the last few weeks have been insane.

The Kickstarter launches THIS WEDNESDAY. The first 200 backers to back at the highest pledge tier (which comes with all physical rewards and both Limited Edition and Standard versions) will also get one of these:

It's a Sketch Plate that you can paste inside of your book. And you'll have not only a signed copy, but one that also includes a hand-drawn doodle from Vil, a linocut print from the same block that we used for the dice inside of the book, and a really useless random table. We agreed to make 200 of these 0_o (which we may regret). If you buy the fanciest pledge tier, please remember to choose the one that says ORIGINAL SKETCH.

The Dungeon Synth Record

I've been taking the top 12 tracks from the selection of demos and expanding them into full songs. Which was already going well when I got in touch with a friend of mine who is a virtuosic cellist and ALSO a choir director.

It seems very likely that the Dungeon Synth record is going to include choral arrangements from the Bozeman Symphony Choir. I'm losing my mind with excitement about this. Going from choral plugins to actual human choir is going to be wild.

More Linocuts

I really like the human touch that it added to cut dice icons for the book by hand, so I cut some new borders for book pages as well as some Kickstarter rewards the same way. They're looking the right kind of imperfect.

Backer Rewards

Assuming we hit our Stretch Goals, every physical backer is going to receive an art print, patch and sticker. So we've been buttoning up those things. At the same time, we made a full poster which will be screen-printed. Same with the t-shirt.

I've also been working on writing the three music-related Glumdark tables which are going to be exclusive to the cassette tape release of the soundtrack. Plus designing that.

The Bestiary

I've been writing the Bestiary. It's a stretch goal to expand the book enough to add this and to have it illustrated. So I'm getting a head start on writing the 10 monsters that it will include. I really hope we hit this Stretch Goal so that I can see how Vil chooses to illustrate these freaks.

Marketing Crap

Yeah, I've been doing a ton of this as well. Making reels for social media even though I loathe social media. That sort of thing. I can not express how much I look forward to deleting Instagram from my phone once this campaign is over. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I just hate getting sucked into my phone.

It's also been an insane amount of work getting together all of the product images, the stinger video, the campaign story, all of the story graphics, etc. If you've done a Kickstarter before, well, I now understand how heavy of a lift this is. Luckily, I've mostly been able to make everything an artistic endeavor and maintain the quality standards I'd expect of myself. Not to mention the fine folks at Exalted Funeral have been working their asses off.
