In some star wars stories the Sith go through a process like a transformation linked to the sith code. So this the end Douko transformation most of them end in some sort of sacrifice.

I think you will really enjoy Rebels and Bad Batch because they both happen AFTER order 66, so even though it is a dark time, and you still know what will eventually happen in the original trilogy, the build up of the rebellion - to quote Jyn Erso - is all about hope. π
