2023-03-02 17:50:07 +0000 UTCNot the original, thats a mistake on my part, Murata during an interview before the anime of season 2 came out stated that he was talking to the producers and was alittle dissapointed on how the handling of season 2 was going so far and that they cut a lot of content that was important from the anime

But they did fix it up quite a bit for the blu-rays and I think the streaming platforms also have the fixed release. So it's actually pretty decent now. Never heard of the original author refusing to let the same studio animate season 3. I don't think I've read anything that reflected the author's personal opinion on it. And well, usually the author doesn't have all that much say in these things anyway.
