Here is your regularly scheduled this kind of post. If you don't want to read, the short of it is:

-I don't plan on doing 3+ minute long feature presentations anymore, animations will be shorter/more focused, and not really on any kind of schedule

-I am now spending a significant amount of my time/effort on a game project

I never really intended for animations to start getting this long. If you've been enjoying them I'm glad, but they're far too time consuming and exhausting to work on relative to how they turn out. When there's this much art that has to go into a single video, I kinda have to start approaching it in a factory assembly line kind of way, where everything gets just enough attention to be barely good enough before I have to move on to the next thing. For example, when I started working on this last video, I decided that I wanted to try doing 3D backgrounds, but when all the 2D art was done and it was finally time to do them, I was so tired with the project that I just spent an evening in blender throwing together the bare minimum of what I was trying to convey, which is why the animation takes place in what appears to be some kind of nightmare backrooms city.

So from now on I plan on doing shorter videos where I can experiment and try to have more detailed animated parts, rather than doing long ones with like 6-7 parts that have the exact same animations I've drawn countless times before. I also don't plan on having any kind of specific schedule moving forward, for the simple reason that I can never stick to anything that I come up with, be it because of things outside of my control, or because I am stupid. The one guarantee that I'll give is that I'll post something at least once per month, not necessarily always a finished animation though.

Besides all that, another reason as to why I can't keep doing these super long videos is because I am spending a lot of my time working on a game project. I'm afraid I can't share any more details on that until the time is right.
