2025-05-09 23:54:25 +0000 UTCI think another thing is by implementing something like I suggested above/below, you could potentially hit a really unique movie once a month that a member feels you should see for whatever reason, and then in your other movie slots you can hit on movies that are more anticipated collectively. I think introducing an individual movie selection like I suggested with a spinwheel also expands everyone's horizons because people tend to watch movies with you they never thought they would watch, and more often than not they find they enjoy it.

I think an interesting idea that I've only seen one other channel implement that you may be interested in is a spin wheel made up of your patreon member's suggestions. TBR Schmitt is the channel I am referencing, another great couple like yourselves that are down to earth and watch a tonne of different genres, etc, offering a lot of variety on their channel. What they do is put out a post once a month requesting patreon members to submit one film (Title, year, etc.) in the comments to be watched in the following month. After a period of time, they submit each patreon member's name and movie selection into an excel spreadsheet/tracker. They put all the member's names that submitted a film in the post into a free online spinwheel. They make a short video post then of them spinning the wheel and flipping back to their spreadsheet once the name is randomly selected to see what film was the winner. It has offered a lot of really unique films that they would have never reacted to or even heard of before. I'd check out how they do it and see if that is something you'd be interested in, or your own variant of something like that.
