Should watch the Animated Series; it follows the characters actually making this movie, further shenanigans ensue obviously, but I'll leave it there... It's also much, much more in-tune with the OG comics, and all the actors reprise their roles, in voice form, but still; pretty phenom overall...

2026-02-19 21:32:36 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. I’ve seen reactors struggle with Scott because you need to buy into the fantasy stuff pretty quick. He did end up with Knives in the first cut but audiences hated it. They were making the movie while the comics were still being written and the author hadn’t come up with his own ending. The comics are a lot more soap opera-y. The director Edgar Wright has made a few horror comedies but I think you’d enjoy his serious horror Last Night in Soho. Similar editing but used for creepiness.

They released it on streaming finally a few months back! It's a cover of this band called Metric's song 'Black Sheep'. Brie Larson is actually singing in the movie version and it's so so good!! Glad you enjoyed the movie!
