Turns out, "It's a Wonderful Life" was Monica's feel-good recommendation when they found out Phoebe's mom had ended the movies "ET", "Rocky", "Old Yeller", "Bambi", and "Charlotte's Web" early. So it was actually used in a good context.

Not to mention Stewart in Rope, Rear Window, Vertigo and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance! Also Violetβs actress Gloria Grahame made her debut here (of sorts) she later became a Queen of Noir in Crossfire, A Lonely Place, and The Big Heat. The latter being her best role. Too bad her real life was a film noir.

Your reactions Cass, gave me something to look forward to when I lost many of my favored activities and methods of coping during and after the Covid thing that happened. I'm glad to have "met" you (quotes because we have never actually set eyes on each other). I have a hard time remembering all the positive impacts I have made in the lives of others although those things are present and existing. I'll close up this mess and say "Merry Christmas". IF they don't act on anything. Don't blame your mister if he appreciates her. They said it was a Charleston competition, so while I don't know the dance I assume that's what they were dancing too. Nice to see you forgot his hat. You're so observant. I never noticed the door of his car closing/not closing before. Nice observation. "4F card" is one that shows his classification for armed service (rejected because of his deaf ear). The majority of the internet says "Bert and Ernie" is a coincidence. I've never seen a quote from Henson that says it was from this movie. "Stand back" and firing random shots at a guy running away. I guess ACAB back then. I think the joke with FRIENDS is that Pheobe's mom never made it past the bad part until it came to the good part. The true ending of the film was shown years later in "It's a Wonderful Life: The Lost Ending - SNL" Merry Christmas Cass.

Hollywood accommodated him, he still worked regularly and all his roles were in a wheelchair or on crutches, or sometimes just a role that sat down the whole time. Donna Reed played Mary. I heard a story once, Donna Reed was not raised a city-girl, she was from a rural town. She was talking with Lionel Barrymore and said she knew how to milk a cow. Barrymore didnβt believe it, she was too refined, so he bet her $5 ($83 in todayβs money) she couldnβt milk a cow. So, she milked a cow. In the interview I saw she said, βEasiest 5 bucks Iβve ever made.β Jimmy Stewart, who played George Bailey, was a star before WWII, heβd started in movies around the mid-30s, started getting lead roles in the late 30s. When America entered the war he joined the Air Force. Became a bomber pilot. This was his first movie after the war. The director kinda had to talk him into it, he told the director itβs been 5 years since Iβve been in a movie, I probably donβt have it anymore. Thankfully he was talked into it, he still had it. Gloria Grahame who played Violet was married 4 times. Her 4th marriage was to the son of her 2nd husband, so, her own step-son.
