Finally Jace got a break from looking constipated all the time.

Happy to see HotD back :)
In terms of the overall story and its pace, I believe the showrunners have a 5-season plan, which allows them to take their time without dragging it out too long. As a book-reader, I have a pretty good idea where the story will end, but there's a lot of options available to them due to the nature of the source material.
Elinda is Rhaenyra's handmaid (she's the one who interrupted the conversation with Mysaria in this episode and was snapped at, and she was there when Arryk tried to assassinate Rhaenyra). We see later in this episode that a different woman has taken her place when Rhaenyra is having her hair undone. When Elinda gets inside King's Landing, the woman she seeks out and who opens the door is Dyana, the SA victim of Aegon from the first season who we saw working at a tavern as a waitress a few episodes ago.
I really like Jace and Baela, and they complement eachother well. I think Baela's scene with Corlys is my favourite scene of the episode.
