Last comment. Sorry, but if I edit too much, the comments will be deleted! So it's a separate comment about "Kiss rocks." Most of the adults-turned-teens we saw in this late-90s series would have been teenagers in the 1970s. Kiss was a *very* big metal band starting in the '70s, and they were still big in the 80s, too, I think, so yes, you got it right! One of the popular sayings was that they rock, like "Kiss ROCKS!" It didn't mean kissing rocks like Willow first thought. π Kiss did a lot of songs about rocking out ("Rock & Roll All Night," "I Love it Loud," etc.). If you're curious, you can find them on YouTube. The members are all still alive, though I'm not sure if the band is still together. Probably not?

2023-11-23 22:33:20 +0000 UTCI'm 100% with you on the Willow/Xander thing; it skeezes me out. The romantic music accompanying their footsies in this episode is creepy and gross. I loathe cheaters. There is no excuse. You end your promise to the first person by breaking up and THEN follow your hormones. I expect this of Xander, as his immaturity is well-established, and this is further disappointment in his oftentimes jerky behavior. Many of us haven't yet forgiven him for "invoking the great roofie spirit" as Buffy described it. So we can look at this and feel mad at him, but it's also not a surprise. Willow especially bothers me because we *don't* expect it. We have to keep in mind that she is a 17-year-old with limited knowledge of relationships, and her feelings for Xander are nearly life-long, but it's very uncomfortable to see her behaving badly. Plus most of us adore Oz, which makes us even more upset to see this going on.
