2023-11-10 09:56:27 +0000 UTCI didn’t think I would cry as much on a rewatch but boy was I wrong those last 20 mins 😭. I think when hugh was talking to Olivia at the end he sort of promised he would stay there with her if she let the kids go knowing that they could now take care of themselves and then chose to end his life to ensure his kids freedom. As for why Olivia I think as others have said she was more sensitive so the house played on those emotions and protective mother feelings she had. I love how the house at the end wasn’t so scary and went from being a house where those in it walk alone to one where they walk together. I won’t even start on the Dudley’s as I’d prob cry again but one of the best shows that deals with grief so well. Thank you for reacting to it
