You're going to find that there are many Monster-of-the-Week episodes that aren't really Monster-of-the-Week episodes as they all have repercussions down the line.

2023-09-02 14:27:54 +0000 UTCThere’s a moment that you missed or overlooked but was hilarious. It’s easy to miss on first viewing. They plant the seed that Larry could be the werewolf not only because of his aggressive behavior but because he said that he was bitten by a wild dog. Immediately after Oz replied offhandedly that his cousin bit him. They shows us who the real werewolf is while misleading us. Brilliantly done. The payoff, when Oz is revealed and call his aunt to ask about his cousin being a werewolf and his reaction to it. Classic BTVS moment where tragedy and comedy is perfectly combined. That’s one of the reasons I like this show so much. It’s so well written. Others have already written about the use of trope on this show. I won’t add to it only to say trust the writers.
