Dinner & A Movie - ON HOLD - but wait, there’s more!
Added 2023-07-19 13:53:50 +0000 UTCHey everybody!! Okay, so I have two new movie series (as in series on my channel) that I want to start up soon & because of that, Dinner & a Movie is going to be put on hold while I get into the new swing of things!!
The two new movie series in question?:
- The Greatest Film of All Time (A movie re-watch/review of my favorite movies ever - some serious, some not so much haha)
- WhoDunnIt? (Watching murder mysteries old & new, and trying to guess the ‘whodunnit’ aspect before it’s revealed! Maybe I’ll even keep a point system…1 point for a name, 2 points for a motive?)
Full reactions & reviews will be posted on Patreon under the Balcony tier for these going forward!!!
With this being said - this is not the end of Dinner & Movie - just a pause.
Also - please reccomend some of your favorite murder mysteries below for me to add to my list!!!

"So I Married an Axe Murderer" mostly has the mystery element, but it's really well done. And so funny.

2023-07-28 23:05:45 +0000 UTCWhat great ideas! I can’t wait :) As someone else suggested, Shutter Island and Gone Girl would be great. I’ve been meaning to rewatch both for a while now. Also, the girl on the train is a captivating watch. Any of the Agatha Christie mysteries too!

2023-07-19 23:34:25 +0000 UTCHmm... I have a couple of possibilities if you haven't seen them: "Once upon a Crime" and "What Lies Beneath". "The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo" Trilogy might be another one.

2023-07-19 15:55:02 +0000 UTCWhile being a Tarantino rollercoaster, The Hateful Eight also qualifies as a delicious whodunnit.

2023-07-19 15:49:10 +0000 UTCA couple of movies that are great mysteries, but not classic "whodunnit": 1. "The Game" with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn. The entire movie is a mystery/psychological thriller that has you trying to figure out what's going on and what's real or fake. 2. "The Manchurian Candidate" - I think I recommended this on another video, but it is another psychological thriller where you trying to figure out who is behind the craziness that's happening! Sorry this is vague, but I don't want to give anything away. I'm looking forward to the new series!

2023-07-19 15:26:50 +0000 UTCAny movie connected to Agatha Christie is a great "whodunnit." I recommend "Murder on the Orient Express" or "And Then There Were None." I also enjoyed the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston "Murder Mystery" movies on Netflix. They were light-hearted and had a good mystery.

2023-07-19 15:22:50 +0000 UTCAnother recommendation is "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

2023-07-19 15:19:53 +0000 UTCIf you are interested in some older films, you should definitely watch "In the Heat of the Night" (1967) and "The Long Goodbye" (1973).

2023-07-19 15:09:02 +0000 UTCI'm going to suggest "Wild Things" (1998) as underrated fun for the Whodunnit category.

2023-07-19 14:07:33 +0000 UTCOh and if you haven't seen Memento, that's a must-see mystery. An early Christopher Nolan film.

2023-07-19 14:05:37 +0000 UTCFirst one of the top of my head is Chinatown (1974). Classic film noir/mystery/drama starring Jack Nicholson.
