Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 2x4 Full Reaction

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 2x4 Full Reaction

I'm really glad Willow and Xander didn't have the talk, actually - overhearing a firm rejection without him knowing she heard was surely the least mortifying of many painful options.

Looking at the episodes you will watch, this 2 episode format will be perfect for alot of this season, in one "block" is 2 episodes i don't care much for, so i can watch that on youtube, and then in other are some episodes that goes really well together ^^ really enjoy your reactions.

Cass talking about Willow: "she deserves to be looked at like that ". This, so much this.

Christine Cox

I do really like the sympathetic villain who has true feelings for one of the heroes. That alone elevates it in my rankings of one off episodes.

Yeah the battle was going ill for Spike's group on all fronts. Having to fight 2 people at once with one of them being the slayer might have tied him up for even more reinforcements to come help Buffy. I don't think it was as much of being scared as it was a wise retreat.

Jonathan Hall

Like you said - because of what she said we know that she was conscious for hundreds of years trapped in the sarcophagus being transferred around, not being able to move or talk. That had to be an actual hell!

Buffy reaction day really is the best day of the week

The traditional mummy you are thinking about wrapped in bandages is Egyptian. Andean mummies like Ampata were left to dry out in the mountain air. Also instead of being buried in tombs and forgotten they were cared for and brought out on special days to be paraded around as a part of ancestor worship. Your relationship expectations for poor Oz are funny, so much pressure already lol

Stephen Knueppel

Good thing to notice about the "mom instincts" although Spike wasn't so much frightened off. I think that Slayers are typically alone in their struggles against the forces of darkness. Spike had the plan and the will to carry it out but that got derailed by the fact that Buffy frequently doesn't fight truly alone. TLDR: Spike got caught by surprise and wisely retreated to regroup.

Michael Labs

Little bit of confusion: she drains the life force from others. So the body in her tomb with the braces was Rodney, and the body in the suitcase was the actual Ampata. ETA: this was an episode that... I think had *a lot* of really good and interesting ideas, but they just don't fully come together.
