2023-06-29 22:45:59 +0000 UTCIf the master had risen, there would be open monster war in Sunnydale, at least every night until either Buffy (and Angel)or the Master was destroyed or fled out of town. Spike on the other hand, doesn't seem to want to go all out for crusades and mass carnage, he attacked the school with some flunkies, yeah, but mostly it was to confront Buffy, who he already was getting a bit obsessed about as his main focus. Spike wants to play with his food, wants a challenge, some evil partying, not a dark kingdom to rule. Spike and Angel being "friends" points to a bad boy past for Angel.

It certainly gets interesting from here on out! Oh, and thank god that Spike killed the ‘Annoying’ One. If only it had happened sooner. He was such a waste of a character, lmao.

And the reason it seemed like the Anointed One was going to be around longer is because the writers originally planned as such. But vampires aren't supposed to age in appearance. So, they realized they had to kill the character off faster when the actor was growing.

2023-06-25 21:31:08 +0000 UTCSo I'm not entirely positive about this but I've definitely seen multiple times around the community that the reason they ditched the plotline for The Anointed One was because the child actor they hired was already starting to grow visibly and audibly older, which isn't something vampires can do. Had that not happened, I'm not sure where they would have went with his character but I think it could have been interesting had the writers done uhhhhhh literally anything with him haha

I was so happy Spike disposed of the annoying one, he was getting on my nerves at this point lol.
