You’re going to love School Hard! I am totally pumped for it.

Forgot about that one. Also, Darla visisted Angel in his episode.

People dump on Xander for not accepting Cordy, but you know he is actually being "on Willow's side" because she has been humiliating and bullying Willow for years. The theme of "boys really don't understand girls" is strong here. The only boys that seem to get it are the bad boys, and man just wait for "School Hard", coming up next, to change the game. You thought you knew what this show is , what's to come, you have no idea.

Cass: Are we in the graveyard again? Me: yes, welcome to season 2 lol

Heyo! You probably are doing the YouTube edit right now and already noticed, but I still wanted to mention. Your audio changed in this second episode. It was fine in your intro, and started to overmodulate/overdrive when you switched to the reaction part. Maybe because you turned your mic louder. (but still, great video! Always a joy to watch)

I think Xander's unwarranted jabs at Cordelia this episode were basically a long-winded setup to that "Why can't we get a date?" joke at the end of this episode, and that may be why it feels overdone.

Two episodes today: Such a treat! And Xander is ugh.

I actually like that you suspected the mom, because the first season’s villains were largely made up of adults; “Witch”, “Teacher’s Pet”, “The Pack”, “Nightmares”, while the demon in “I Robot… You Jane”, The Master, and many of the vampires could be metaphorically representative of adults who haven’t grown up. They were all largely negative depictions of being an adult because Buffy was struggling with the need to grow (maturity/responsibility) vs. the desire to stay young (immaturity/irresponsibility). It might be too early to say whether this season is doing something different or not thematically, but the villains in this episode at the very least were motivated by something other than immaturity.

Didn't notice Xander's behavior at the time I first watched this episode yet watching now, it was cringeworthy... although my view now isn't exactly from a spring chicken perspective.

One of my least favorite Buffy episodes to be honest, aside from Giles and Calendar. Also the look Willow gives Xander when he is ranting about people not wanting what's right in front of them kinda kills me.

We saw Angel's place when Xander went there in the season 1 finale and forced Angel to show him where the Masters lair was so they ended up saving Buffy just in time. Side note here Angel was letting Buffy face the Master alone knowing she would die.
