2026-02-28 03:10:58 +0000 UTCTheir intimacy isn't 'dirty'? Lol, V, lol. Tone down the judginess, lol. This Matrix was extremely anticipated, so much so that it left audiences feeling let down. The focus on action, the cartoony CGI was noticeable even back then, the glossing over back stories of all the bad guy characters, the tropes and stereotyping with the French guy (the orgasm cake was weird too audiences back then also, lol, but in the end many were just jelly and wished they could have of that cake, too), the albino ghost twins were accused of appropriation due to the dreads, the odd slow-mo underground club scene felt out of place, the pacing of some quite serious plot points that felt almost skipped over just to get to more action sequences, to the fact that everyone had no idea how important the Animatrix was to the plot because just like you did, V, most people skipped watching it but you missed plot points that helped establish more understanding of the things this film glossed over. It was a victim of hyping itself up too high. If you would've watched the Animatrix before this, then you would've learn Kid's story and why he is such a groupie to Neo. Neo has powers over the machines outside of the Matrix now because he is the first version of the One to visit the source and come back without choosing to reset the system. Think of it like radiation. Going inside the source, in effect, irradiated him with the same energy that runs the Matrix. So he can sense when devices that run on the Matrix are near and can effect their energy source. Although the CGI was off-putting even back then, everybody loved seeing Mr Smith banter with Neo again. Films with similar vibes: Dark City (1998) Underworld (2003) Queen of the Damned (2002) eXistenZ (1999) Strange Days (1995) Equilibrium (2002) Transcendence (2014) Total Recall (1990) The Last Boy Scout (1991) Bad Boys (1995) League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) Van Helsing (2004) The Ninth Gate (1999) The Order (2001) From Hell (2001) In the Mouth of Madness (1994) 13th Warrior (1999) Johnny Mnemonic (1995) The Fountain (2006) Timeline (2003) Judge Dredd (1995) Repo Men (2010) Watchmen (2009) Gothika (2003) Surrogates (2009) Robocop 2 (1990) The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) Logan's Run (1976) Resident Evil (2002) Vantage Point (2008) Last Man Standing (1996)

2026-02-28 03:10:36 +0000 UTCHey V, how's it going? Good to see you, looking lovely as always๐ฅฐI did catch some of your Twitch stream last night and sent you a Cheer message, but I guess you didn't catch it, no worries, I know it can be difficult keeping track of chat while game playing lol! I hate to say it, but I have no desire to watch The Matrix sequels, mostly because to me the first one is the more superior one, but that's just me, however I'm glad to hear that you had fun with this sequel! As for me, this month is one of the few months where I sink into an abyss of depression, mainly because I hate Valentine's Day, had my heart broken way to many times that I can hardly feel any feelings of affection, plus also this month marks 2 years since my father passed away, I miss him๐ญ As a result, I've been on a binge watching of classic John Wayne western movies, ones that I know that my dad loved watching that I've never seen and ones I watched and did see with him! There's a lot of John Wayne western movies that I highly recommend for you to react to, most especially my favorite one "Chisum (70)" to my knowledge it's the only John Wayne western movie that's actually based on true events believe it or not, but it's a great movie, I think you will enjoy it! Speaking of "westerns" I just now finished watching, for the first time ever, your full length reaction to Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" and by golly I had so much fun watching your reaction and I also couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard at the humor, it's one of my favorite movies and I'm really happy you enjoyed it! I love it when you smile and laugh hysterically lol! Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi", hope you're doing well, you're the best, love and support always, and God bless ya๐ฅฐ๐๐๐คโ๐น
