James and the Giant Peach also

mikethemotormouth

There are lots of great stop-motion animated films out there - Fantastic Mr. Fox and Coraline come to mind.

Recency bias is so annoying for me. I always prefer really old stuff ๐Ÿ˜‚

AC5555

The Peasants/Chlopi by DK and Hugh Welchman ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ

AC5555

It would never win, bit I'd love to see her watch Transformers: The Movie from 1986. Very anime-inspired, the 2D animation holds up against anything made today. And, one of the all-time great scores and soundtracks!

David Crabtree

I'd love to see more specific polls for animation, like "80's animation", "90's animation", "2D animation", etc.

David Crabtree

you havent seen Inside Out? hope it will be uploaded like... today lol. its been years i watched it last time and youll cry 5 times at least

Lubino

Wreck-it Ralph?

Richard Maurer

Rock-solid non-anime lineup. Can't think of a single thing to interject that I haven't seen myself. Though I'm shamefully derelict on European stuff like The Triplets Of Belleville.

Raieldon

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN INSIDE OUT? Ohhh, that's excitingggg.

Raieldon

Iโ€™m gonna keep voting for inside out till itโ€™s reacted to ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

HoneyBadger

I voted Inside Out, but as was mentioned from the previous movie recommendation thread, "Rango" absolutely deserves consideration -- especially the Extended Cut! It's such a wonderfully off-kilter and gorgeous looking film that manages to break away from the norm of most animated features. I was positively thrilled that it won Best Animated Movie at the Oscars and BAFTA back in 2011. Also, the soundtrack is Hans Zimmer at his absolute finest! ๐ŸŽถโค๏ธ

Pat Rey

I spent twenty years defending Treasure Planet against hordes of crazed Lilo & Stitch cultists who wanted to put Chris Sanders in charge of the studio so Eisnerโ€™s Disney wouldnโ€™t make any more, quote, โ€œnormalโ€ Disney movies. And the last three or four letting them kiss my big fat Disney-fan hinder when Planet started being called Disneyโ€™s best film of the 00โ€™s. ๐Ÿ˜

Eric Janssen

I donโ€™t know about the rest of the Southern Hemisphere but Autumn in Melbourne is one of the best seasons. Sunny days, cold nights and leaves everywhere. I voted for Kubo. There are some great animated films on Netflix if youโ€™re wanting a break from Disney, Pinocchio (del Toro version), Wendell and Wild, and Nimona.

Jacob King

The Iron Giant

Leeland

Myvgoodnes i LOVE LOVE LOVE The Road To El Dorado! Most underrated ever its hilarrious! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Jonathan Wiking

Our May is feeling a bit more like October or November here in UT Secret of NIMH(1982) The Rescuers(1977) and The Rescuers Down Under(1990) The Land Before Time(1988) An American Tail(1986) and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West(1991) Ferngully:The Last Rainforest(1992) has Tim Curry AND Robin Williams, need I say more?

mikethemotormouth

Ha ha ha ha!

_tragicmike

I second this. Also THE SECRET OF NIMH if she hasn't seen it.

_tragicmike

I want almost all of these ๐Ÿ˜ญ

A2Rhombus

Inside Out is fun and Bambi is great. Soul is good. The rest are Meh. (haven't seen Lilo and Stitch).

Richard Lowe (The Writing King)

100% recency bias. Give it another 5 years and everyone will have forgotten that embarrassment. Except maybe for Peaches. Jack Black's the only good thing about that movie.

Christophe

I agree, I feel it's often overlooked in the Pixar canon. The plot does waffle a bit towards the end, you gotta admit, but it's still very beautiful and has a nice message.

Christophe

Soul is one of my top favorite pixar movies, im obssessed

Sammy K

Seriously, Super Mario Bros is winning? What happened to the like-minded crowd in here that would bounce between transformers and inside/out? Lol

Raptor

Too many good and deserving movies in one poll. Please recycle these.

Chris Brown

I say just keep rewatching wall-E on repeat for forever ๐Ÿ™‚ voted for brave btw so it's doomed now cuz I suck at voting but it's a wonderful movie visually gorgeous and you would love it js ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Ian

It's a kids classic!

neez duts

Lady and the Tramp (1955), All Dogs go to Heaven, Robin Hood (1973)

Brian's Dog

I'm always surprised when people are that enthusiastic about Cars, I thought we all collectively agreed that Cars is the most mid of all the Pixar films

Christophe

Heavy Metal ๐Ÿ˜

Tom W.

You need also An American Tail and The Land Before Time.

AkiraScroll
