Better Days and Original Life Archives

As promised for some time, the .zip archives of the old webcomics. They became unavailable since the old website no longer works. But if you want them you can unpack these zips of older embarrassing material that helped make my name.

Comments

I want to thank you for uploading these here. I truly hope you don’t find your old stuff embarrassing. Your Webcomic Better Days helped me get through a dark period in my life. You made a world around twin siblings that felt so real and you should feel proud of that.

Nick

Same. Like Sabrina Online I have many fond memories of this story.

Fineas

No problem! Thank you.

Jay Naylor

I know Im super late to the party, but I really appreciate you making zips for us and its not lost to time <3

IsaRat

Thanks much glad you did this.

Dakk

Works for me dude. Must be on your end.

Jay Naylor

I just saw theese, thanks! Better Days downloaded fine, but original life is showing an error. It says the zip file has like 11 bytes and does not open.

Walter Henrique Schöpke Marques Talon

It all depends on how your operating system orders by name and number. Sorry if it's out of order. I wasn't naming my numbered pages with that in mind.

Jay Naylor

When extracting had an issue where it didn't extract in order is this normal?

Exposed Shadow

I'm glad that I can read these comics again.

Glenn Sellers

I was just looking for these again, having been reminded about them. I never did get around to reading Original Life, but I loved Better Days. When my bookmarks didn't work I got a little concerned, glad to see they were archived at least.

Dorian Saignren

Nice!

Omg yes!! Been wanting this ^_^ Thank you Jay!

Winterhoof

yesss!!! I have been waiting for these ! tHANK yOU!!

Legends

I am thankful for this! would it be wrong for me to say that I shipped 2 characters in OL?

Infamous Paradox

I'll always look back on these comics fondly. Even if your writing and art wasn't perfect, the characters felt real, and following their stories as they grew up and went through some tough shit was pretty meaningful to me. It's an important piece of your journey as a creator. :)

Volpethrope

I still remember reading these back when alot of the concepts didn't make much sense to me. Now that I'm older it's both a nostalgia trip and a enlightening experience. Thanks Jay!

Eito Gao

This was a walk down memory lane, re-reading all of these webcomics. Have you ever thought about starting up a webcomic again?

This pleases me. I’ve been following your work for a lot longer than I want to admit. Your style has gotten better over time and while these are older they’re still great works. Many thanks and here’s to many more years!

GoddessMar

I remember these comic.. they were awesome.

Bagginsbandb

Better Days is how I found out about you Jay and I made sure to read them each update. Falling in love with the characters and the stories. When I found out you were on patreon I immediately signed up. You have a fan for life here

Christine Bryant

These works helped me discover you and your art, thank you for making them available to us once more.

jewellsbedamned

Call them embarrassing all you want, Original Life and Better Days (along with I'll admit the Jack webcomic by David Hopkins) were what got me interested interested in webcomics and furry's. You also tackled some pretty damn heavy stuff in the comics that made me seriously appreciate them as an avenue of expression that can go much further than more mainstream media choices. Watching Fisk grow up and then getting to see his kids do the same was one of the best things to read every week when you were still updating those comics.

Verdha

Thanks man

Mattie~

We all appreciate these works, thank you for making them available again.

Travis Montgomery

Thanks for this, I read both every year or so. Now I don't need an internet connection. However, I have four pages from 2015 when agents Veronika and Dina visit "Mr. Black's" house trying to prove he is an agent. I'd love to see that story finished.

Tam Barlas

No problem. My finger are crossed, perhaps maybe in the future.

Tooree

Oh sorry. It wasn't femdom. I didn't see that part until after I replied. Dunno, femdom isn't quite on my list of inspirations at the moment.

Jay Naylor

I've done it. The comic "Enemy" was done very recently. If you scroll back into my Patreon feed, you can probably still find it in its entirety. I completed it for the Februarry 5th update, I think.

Jay Naylor

Ditto.

Churchill (formerly TeaBear)

Thanks Naylor. How would you feel about creating a human males on female anthro femdom scenario.

Tooree

I'm sorry you find these embarrassing, I love your old work and I love the characters in their younger days.

Steve O

Come on now it’s not embarrassing. The story is great and we the fans get to see your artwork evolve as the comic goes too. It shows how far you’ve come and how far you have to go. And always know no matter what you do we’re here to support you. :)

Bolt

Beautiful! now i know what i'm going to do today... crazy to think of that i read your comics for +13 Years now

John89

May be a local safeguard? Dunno.

Jay Naylor

The original life zip folder says I don’t have permission to view it

David Shiffer

When I went to the folders, I discovered I'd already archived them into .zips a long time ago and so I just uploaded those. So it didn't take much effort. :3

Jay Naylor

This is good stuff! This material is the artwork that made me a fan of your work(s). Thank you for taking the time to collect these archives and make them available to us! We appreciate it!

Antarctican

Dude, it shows how you have grown as both an artist and a storyteller. Your work and legacy had to begin somehow, somewhere.

David Shiffer

These are great!

T-rex 1973

All artists seem to hate everything that isn’t their recent work. So silly.

theft king

Oh come on man, they aren't that embarrassing. I loved your webcomics.
