GR86 V2.0

Thank you for your long patience.

After testing the BETA version, we have evolved to V2.0.

We tried to reproduce the “electronic control” newly from the BETA version.

Recent cars are ridden with a combination of mechanical performance and electronic control.

Therefore, we felt it necessary to incorporate electronic concepts.

The first improvement is ABS.

ABS intervention has been made more realistic, specifically, the control is no longer activated until more nearly locked.

This improvement makes load control using the brakes more realistic.

The next step was traction control.

A new “VSC” anti-skid function was added to reproduce the actual GR86 movement.

This is different from the “Accelerator Control” normally equipped on the Asset Corsa, which also suppresses skidding when the gas pedal is off.

This “VSC” reproduction is not perfect, but it has created a new car movement that cannot be reproduced by alignment.

Therefore, we created three driving modes that take advantage of the “electronic control” described above.

You can switch between them with the traction control button.

The meter display also replicates the actual GR86.

We hope you will enjoy comparing each mode.

Additional features are described below, as well as past ones.

・CLIKC CONTROL

Buttons in the cockpit can now be operated with the mouse.

This is a playful element and has nothing to do with driving, but it will help to create an atmosphere of driving.

・NEW EXHAUST SOUND

A new engine sound for the FA24 has been created.

You can enjoy more realistic driving experience!

・RAIN FX SUPPORT

Added tire settings (groove items).

This allows you to enjoy driving in the rain!

・ACTIVE DAMPER

The actual GR86 picks up frequencies from the road surface and changes the stiffness of the damper.

We have reproduced that function in a pseudo-realistic manner.

・BRAKE FEELING SCRIPT

The point at which the brakes are most effective when stepped on has been changed.

This update allows for future changes in feel with brake tuning.

If you are using a pedal controller, you will enjoy it more!

・CLUTCH FEELING SCRIPT

The point of connection when the clutch is depressed has been changed.

This update allows for future changes in feel with clutch tuning. Those who use a pedal controller will enjoy it more.

・ACTIVE THROTTLE RESPONSE

Throttle characteristics were changed to actual vehicle characteristics.

The throttle map is switched according to the speed range.

・REVLIMITER SAFETY

In a real car, if you use the rev limiter a lot to protect the engine, it will go into safe mode.

This is a pseudo-reproduction of that function.

Horsepower is reduced for 30 seconds when entering safe mode.

・ENGINE STARTER

After entering the course, the engine must be started.

This is a feature that is more realistic and enjoyable when using the steering wheel controller.

The “Readme” describes how to set this up.

・ENGINE IDLE UP SCRIPT

In a real car, the engine speed is automatically increased when the engine is about to stall when starting.

We have reproduced this function.

This allows the driver to experience clutch engagement as in a real car.

・BRAKEDISC FX

Brake rotors turn red due to heat.

・BRAKE TEMPS

The crisis level changes as the brakes fade.

Normal brakes are sensitive to heat and fade.

This is an attempt to replicate brake tuning in the future.

・BODY FLEX

Until now, body rigidity has been completely solid.

The body of a production car can be twisted to some extent in order to ensure a corresponding period of time.

Since the concept of body rigidity was added to CSP, we succeeded in reproducing this "production car-like movement.

Specifically, a small lag in grip and alignment change occurs, resulting in a milder feeling.

It gives more depth to the feel of the operation, but may cause variations in lap times.

We felt this was necessary to reproduce the feeling of the actual car.

It is also possible to make changes in tuning such as body reinforcement in the future!

・SPEED LIMITER

A speed limiter exists for Japanese specifications.

We reproduced it because it is an important tactic in one-make races.

I actually measure the limiter with my car using a GPS logger.

The car maintained its speed at 183 km/h.

It was controlled by electronic throttle, not fuel cut.

This reproduces that movement.

If not needed, it can be assigned to a button on the keyboard to turn it off.

Hey um, gr86 doesn't have adaptive dampers! At least not the ones in the U.S!
