You should check out Liam’s live performance of Polaroid with Lennon Stella on The X Factor. Louis was a judge for that season and it was really heartwarming seeing them interact with each other after the performance.

I think him doing the song Both Ways really kinda screwed him because once a lot of the fandom found out he did that song that decided to pretty much boycott the album and only give love to all the collabs (which were all singles btw cuz he started releasing them in like 2017 strip that down being the first then spaced them out over the next 2-3 yrs) Ill admit I did too but since hes been so wonderful recently giving us so much content and love I decided it was only fair that I give it a shot I decided to listen to it for the first time with you and while the collabs imo are better I did enjoy some of his solo stuff!! I feel he really just thrives when collaborating with people and recently with the comments hes made he seems to be missing working with the boys the most

Out of all of the 1D boys Liam's was the only album that I did not purchase. It's just not the style of music that I enjoy listening to, BUT after watching your reaction to his album I will reconsider. There are so many good tracks that I didn't even consider because I had already made up my mind. I was wrong. I always loved Liam's voice. He has such a beautiful tone and his range is outrageous. My fav tracks are Midnight and Get Low. Thanks for posting this.

Harry’s fans would hype any kind of negativity about this album/him which is why a lot of people keep doing it for months after it got released. Liam was kind of sabotaged in that way in releasing at the same time as Harry. (Which was not harry’s fault but his fans/the media were still evil)

I didn't really listen to Liam's albums due to how the lyrics being really cheesy and how couple song are not what i like to listen to. But I will say he does have songs that melodically beautiful and his voice is beautiful. His lyrics are just super cheesy or just ok. I loved Midnight. Midnight really showed his voice for it being EDM song.

Was gonna say this too! Since he is so into a raspy vocal! Personally, I actually think her country stuff is better than the album but she is just overall such a talented vocalist.

Honestly, most of the bad things that had been said about Liam and this album was because there was some kind of drama between Harry’s fans and Liam... that just crushed him so bad and it got to the point when people who haven’t even listened to the album kept saying how bad it is and Liam absolutely didn’t deserved it.

i love this album. i don’t listen to it that often (i think out of all the albums the boys have released i liked zayn’s albums the best and then niall’s flicker album) but i still like it a lot. most of the tracks where he featured others were released before the album and there was all this... mess with everything going on with his label and the uncertainty of his album release, there was also an ep he released before the album with four songs on it, and then the complete lack of promo for the album... his singles where he collaborated with others had more promo than the album and just, i don’t even know. there’s also this whole... thing. with liam where a lot of 1d fans don’t like him and criticize him for everything he does, those of us who love him try to combat it as much as possible but liam does get a lot of hate and it’s really sad. but i do love this album and liam’s vocal ability really shines on it and that’s what i love most about it i think. but seriously the whole album is a vibe. i love liam so much and i’m glad you liked the album.

I bought the album to support Liam. I tried to listen to it but kept skipping through the songs. Some of his singles he came out with before the actual album came out were ok but most of the songs on the album sound the same. I couldn't remember much of any after hearing them. Funny that you thought it was Ed Sheeran in the song 'Strip That Down'. When he says "I use to be in 1D, now I'm out free". We were all like... omg when this first came out. It was his first single I think. The song with Rita Ora was from the movie sound track from "50 Shades Freed". You should do "Both Ways".

Also - so not a 50 shades fan but his song with Rita Ora is so good, I prefer the live version because their chemistry on stage is 🔥 https://youtu.be/ZwYg9g9bHfM

The songs with the huge stream numbers are because they were singles way before his album. Strip That Down was his first in 2017 ( someone correct me if I’m wrong ) so that explains the huge numbers. His first album was supposed to drop September 2018 but just a few weeks/a month before, the date was cancelled. Then he dropped an EP instead. Liam is so talented. Even on the songs I don’t care for, his talent is undeniable.

It's such a shame that only the singles have so many streams. Because Stack it up, Live forever, Strip that down, Get low, Bedroom floor, Familiar and All I want (for christmas) were all singles. For you is a song from the fifty shades freed movie so that explains a lot. But he is so talented and he also released an EP you should listen to.

I know how someone may dont want to support a track that is kinda controversial but imo i would listen to it to get an opinion myself. But at the end of the day you can't decide if it was problematic or not if you are not a bisexual woman. Its a grey area.
Anyway. I always enjoy your reactions so so so bad. I cant wait for the this is us movie to be honest.
Also i adore liam's music. Some tracks remind me of early jason derulo days. I would say also early chris brown but he aint shit.

It was nice to see how much you enjoyed this album! I was dancing right along with you. Liam always features heavily on my workout playlists. Anyway, I think he's underrated as a solo artist. Most of the hate seems to come from 1d fans who expected Liam to a) write his own music and b) make songs that felt more deep and personal. They got that from the other four and couldn't accept something different (aka dance jams) from Liam. Then of course there's the controversy of Both Ways. Some people refused to listen to the album solely because of that track (which isn't completely unjustified). For the record, Liam has acknowledged he was in the wrong by making that song and that he's learned a lesson. Anyway, great reaction and I hope you check out Liam's ep as well as some of his live performances.

I remember way back when, Liam was quick to release music after 1D and I was enjoying Strip That Down a ton, I also loved Get Low especially. Bedroom Floor and Familiar were decent but then it just wasn't my taste after that. But I do think Liam is very talented! IMO -- ofc I don't know Liam's life--but it seemed from the outside like he was having a bit of arrested development after being in 1D all those years figuring out who he was and it affected LP1—hoping it was a growing pain and LP2 will be better!

Yay! Still making it through this video but you've said a few times that you really enjoyed the melodies, which makes so much sense! Liam has said in interviews that he is more of a melody-based type of writer and that's where he feels really creative ( as opposed to lyrics). Hopefully he gets to write more for the next album though!!

you’re not wrong, Ed Sheeran is in Strip That Down’s and Stack it up’s writer credits haha also Bedroom Floor was written and produced by Charlie Puth. The fact is Liam wrote a lot of great bangers back in One Direction with Louis but he didn’t write the songs on his album. He does have great vocals, great songwriting ability but he didn’t use it on his album so that’s probably why people didn’t hype up about his music as much as other band members solo stuff.

The album came out in early december. The Christmas song wasn't so strange then.
Regarding the difference in streams: Strip that down, For you, familiar, bedroom floor, Polaroid and get low were released months/years before the album came out. As they were out already they just put them on the album as "bonus" tracks.
And I think with the whole drama regarding the album getting like no promo and then with the lyrics and all of both ways, a lot of people didn't even listen to the album...

Soo happy you enjoying this album!! Liam likes R&B and pop songs but he loves doing experimental sounds with electronic because he did some remixes during 1D time under the name BigPayno too!

IDK if you knew but he released an EP before this. It was veeeery confusing! His team kind of fucked him up. This album is like all the songs he's ever released put together, that's why it doesn't feel like a debut album. Liam barely promote it
